LFC in excellent form especially at home (in fact i think they are unbeaten ) the Iron going through a torrid time where a dip in form is morphing into a very bad run..that said
Im going for a 1-1 … just enough to keep AB n Scoff at the helm
November 22, 2024 at 4:32 am #294388Stats say 2-1
I’ll probably have a fiver on 3-0 and a fiver on 3-1
That’s the head.The heart hopes for a sneaky 0-1
November 22, 2024 at 12:27 pm #294403I’m expecting a win based on its a type of game we often turn the tables on teams that are unbeaten, surely Beck must put one away after last Saturday could and should have had at least an hat trick.
Morale must be down and don’t expect Butler during the week to have improved it, but get score first and you never know. 0-3 for me.1 user thanked author for this post.

November 23, 2024 at 12:44 pm #294448It’s wet and windy here in Leamington, talking to a few Lemmings they know all about our dip in form and the reasons why!
They already know about our unpopular manager and his even more unpopular tactics.
I expect defeat today, and at best 1-1 draw. Hope I am ####### wrong.

November 23, 2024 at 1:38 pm #294449Aye, we don’t win on Saturdays do we?
2-0 defeat.
November 23, 2024 at 2:04 pm #294450Hang on a tick! Could this be 4-4-2?
IRON: Fitzsimons, Kouogun, Evans, Clunan, Beestin, Whitehall, Roberts, Brogan, Beck, Denton, Barrows.
IRON SUBS: Nicholson, Kelly, Rowley, Ubaezuonu, Scales.
November 23, 2024 at 2:06 pm #294451I was just thinking the same, could it possibly be 4-4-2
November 23, 2024 at 2:13 pm #294452Unless he has Denton at centre back and Brogan at left wing back.
Would be bonkers of course but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

November 23, 2024 at 2:21 pm #294454Is Williams injured?
November 23, 2024 at 2:22 pm #294455No Williams today is he not eligible yet?
November 23, 2024 at 2:24 pm #294458Played in the Lincs Cup game and scored so it shouldn’t be fitness you would think.
November 23, 2024 at 2:24 pm #294459Scunny’s Twitter says he’s ill.

I think the every man and his dog in the country knows given how loudly the crying’s been.
November 23, 2024 at 3:22 pm #294463If we’re set up 4-4-2 why are we not 2 nil up by now? Is Butler telling them not to score? Probably been running too much again this week and watching ‘the world’s greatest defences’ on loop. Pah!
November 23, 2024 at 4:40 pm #294464We take the lead and then it is all out defence, why, when we have a slight advantage with the weather
November 23, 2024 at 4:43 pm #294465Not like we’re the only team on the planet does that Mick.
2-0. Get in!!
November 23, 2024 at 4:44 pm #294466Worked well, broke away and got a penalty and scored
November 23, 2024 at 4:58 pm #294468Yep, and back to a clean sheet. I’d say the defensive subs and soaking up a bit of pressure worked a treat. Delighted for Butler and the boys. Should silence the ‘Butler Out’ mob for a few days.

November 23, 2024 at 5:02 pm #294469Sounded a bullish performance considering the awful weather.
Think I heard Torps state a change in formation?
Sounded more solid in defence and a much confidence boosting clean sheet.November 23, 2024 at 5:05 pm #294471Hard to believe that ..barring injury time goals .. we sit top again. Maybe the voices of reason will hold sway for a few days. If it was 4 4 2 then maybe a lesson learned by our rookie manager.
November 23, 2024 at 5:11 pm #294472Don’t worry, some stirrer will be on here over the next few days saying how frustrated they are that Butler didn’t change formation sooner and that it was probably down to a board intervention. Bore off.

Maybe JI. Though Torps was asked that and he wasn’t so sure, so don’t believe those that say it must have been due to a formation change.

Andy threw in a curve ball and played 4 across the back, I was wrong thankfully.
November 23, 2024 at 6:16 pm #294480Common knowledge we’ve been after another striker for weeks before Beck signed. So always a good chance he’d be partnered with Whitehall in a more 4-4-2 formation, despite those who are adamant that Butler is too ‘arrogant’ and ”stubborn’ to change anything.
November 23, 2024 at 6:20 pm #294483Good result against an unbeaten side at home- looks like the change in formation has freshened things up.
Any reports on how we played from those who went ?
November 23, 2024 at 6:26 pm #294484we did better when we switched back to the wing backs
November 23, 2024 at 11:13 pm #294503Will still want Butler out if he refers back to a back 5.and serves up the same dross again we’ve being served up of late.
Today can be a new start for him let’s hope he takes it.November 23, 2024 at 11:21 pm #294504Great Response to last week’s Fiasco. Well done Lads!

‘Some fans absolutely desperate to have a snipe at butler after a decent result in any which way.’
