I’d rather we lost it trying to win it than draw it trying not to lose.

Yep set up to win every game is the right approach IMO, we had enough last season with JD setting up not to lose, when he did it in the last game against Boston when we had to win it just about summed up why we didn’t win the league last season, don’t think AB thinks like that from what I’ve seen so far.

    An important game to WIN!

No such thing in August. But 3 points would be very nice.

In Kiddy’s position you’d think they’d be happy with a point.
    Will they try for 3?
If they set up for a draw can we find a way to win?
Will we try to win or try to not lose?
So many questions, answers after 9.30 tomorrow, the anticipation is almost unbearable. C’mon Iron!!

All games are important and wins even more so.

Don’t see the point of playing if you are not going out to win.

Looking at the video highlights and post match reaction by Brown I don’t believe they will come here for a point, they will come for 3. He believes he has the strongest squad in the league who can beat other teams home and away. HMS piss the league very much resides in Kidderminster this season!

Good test to see where we are and make a statement in the league early.

Think Rene might be on the money with 1-1

Hoping for at least 4500 tonight…would 5000 be too optimistic? It’s difficult to know .. how will the novelty of Friday night pan out? How many are still on hols? Will Kiddy bring a decent number?Really looking forward to this one.
Another clean sheet and a couple of second half goals into the Donny Rd end will do for me.

Ticket sales thus far suggest 5,000 will be a stretch. Might get a higher number of POTG than usual

Kiddy showing the game in their pub, bound to attract plenty on a Friday night that might have travelled on a Saturday.

They get about 2,500 to home games so you would think they would have managed about 300 for a Saturday game.

Be interesting to see how many make it tonight.

A win for the Iron tonight would be brilliant however, we have to remember that promotion isn’t won or lost in August.

I am expecting an tight match, and it’ll be interesting to see how the squad reacts to the pressure of this match. That said, I think we’ll edge it by 1 goal and I am going for a 2-1 victory to the Iron. Attendance will be 4758 (234 away).

Same lineup as Monday with Beestin replacing Carlton. Makes sense.

Great win. Clunan, Whitehall, Scales and Roberts (in the 2nd half, especially) were great. Shame Carlton blazed over that good chance to kill the game of, but can’t grumble, though some will try. The team must be thinking they’re in dreamland to be winning games like this.

Loved to see both goals and how they were created. Totally dominant second half. Smashed it. Onwards and upwards.

You called it near enough spot on JI, what a great match, pretty even first half with both teams going close but a dominant Iron took control second half and thoroughly deserved the win. Great performances all round, Beestin awesome and Whitehall for me his best ever game in an Iron shirt, proper centre forward leading the line display, keep it up Danny. Tango man was full of his usual BS on the touchline but he can’t have any complaints about the result, well played the Iron onwards and upwards.

Best game I’ve seen in a long time nothing has good last season, 2 good sides going toe to toe, Kiddie dominated the first half hour very fast playing side, we grew into it and ended up having 3 chances before half time.
Second half we took it to them and paid off with 2 good goals nobody I can recall had a poor game.
And yes Butler did break the hoodoo we did win in front of a big crowd.
Now go and break that other hoodoo of winning after Butler receives manager of the month award.

Loved everything about that tonight: everybody putting bodies on the line and showing some real quality in both boxes. Kiddy looked a good outfit and credit to them for coming to play and win the game, just thought we had too much for them when we stepped it up at points.

Atmosphere superb aswell- would like to see Friday games happening once or twice a season.
