Sounds decent – are we playing two up top??
March 12, 2024 at 2:01 pm #28266321 and he has played 1 game !
Better be the ‘diamond’ we have been looking to polish and quickly !
March 12, 2024 at 2:11 pm #282665Think we are providing a service for getting players fit for their parent clubs. Hope it pays well.
March 12, 2024 at 2:31 pm #282666San Fran – we aren’t going to get 27yr old with 200 goals. We’ve got to look at the club wanting to keep him and his time with solid league clubs. Plus it’s competition for places and hopefully cheap/free.

Don’t mention the diamond!
March 12, 2024 at 10:15 pm #282702According to Dean he comes math fit, but just doesn’t have much 1st team experience. Jimmy described him as a creative wide player, similar in playing style to Connor Smith.
Dean watched him last week against Sheff Wednesday reserves and liked the look of him so fingers crossed he’s the business.
Youmbi needs sending back now, complete waste of time him even being here. I’d send Law out on loan as soon as he’s back to get minutes into him too.
March 12, 2024 at 10:16 pm #282703Math fit? Something doesn’t add up!

!Typical narky teenage response no doubt, lighten up FFS your allowed a laugh occasionally. Keep up the geriatric responses JI you have a captive audience on this forum.
March 13, 2024 at 10:30 am #282712If he’s brought in as a winger that’s:
Wilson
Sembie-Ferris
Mcalinden
Law
Roberts
Corbett
* Elliott BeestinAnd we wondered on another thread why players stagnate here

March 13, 2024 at 10:59 am #282713Elliott and Beestin are not wingers or even wide forwards whatever Jimmy thinks. Roberts and Law are injured and unlikely to have any major impact on this season and are likely to be gone by next season.
Wilson’s face doesn’t fit and does seem to have gone backwards this season. McAlinden had half a decent game when he first arrived but his Chester goal notwithstanding has not looked like doing much else ever since.
Can understand the Jimmy gambles because he is out of the door unless he wins the playoffs. Surprised the board are backing him with more players but I guess they want to be seen to have given every opportunity before sacking him.
Bottom line is Roberts and Smith always carried a goal threat whereas their replacements and would be replacements not so much.
You forgot the lad on loan from Bradford via Farsley Cliff. Understandable as we’ve not really seen him.

That’s because he’s not very good. Let’s hope this Corbett he signed is as good as he thinks he is, because if he’s similar to Smith we’re on to a winner.
A creative wide player is what we’ve been crying out for since Smith left and Roberts suffered injury. I will however say that Sembie Ferris has brilliantly since coming back.
According to what Jimmy said, Roberts is 2 weeks away from being fully back, but no doubt will take another few weeks to get up to speed.
March 13, 2024 at 2:28 pm #282716That’s why I have mentally written off Roberts. He took a good 4 or 5 games last time before he did anything other than give the ball away.
March 13, 2024 at 3:06 pm #282717Forgot about Youmbi. It’s frustrating as it’s the same scatter gun recruitment approach which has served us miserably.
Something the new board will have to pay attention with.
March 13, 2024 at 3:35 pm #282719It worries me that Dean thinks he’s a good player.Lets hope he’s right.

!Just a bit of banter, WG. No offence intended.
But speaking of typos …and geriatric humour ..A Priest, a Pastor and a Rabbit went to give blood. When asked about their blood group the Rabbit said :’I think I’m a Type O.’

If he had potential Alexander would have Youmbi on the bench for a few 5 mins here and there.
With Corbett Peterborough would have given him more than 1 game, Darren would also have started the media machine which drives up prices of those he wants to sell – again nothing.
March 13, 2024 at 9:13 pm #282733Youmbi didn’t do much at Farsley, played 17 games games without scoring. Sanfran, Corbett doesn’t need to be the most talented player at Peterborough to perform well at this level. They have a really strong squad and as a result has simply become the forgotten man.
I did see on twitter a number of their fans did say he was underrated and that he had something to offer, but just because he’s deemed as not being good enough at that level doesn’t mean he won’t flourish at this one.
Billed as a creative wide player so let’s just see what he offers.
