The players are (I believe) good enough to be winners at this level. But they are lacking in the basic things that would be natural if they were coached correctly.
Yeah Dawsies a nice enough guy, and qualified to do the job. I’m just worried that he is concentrating too much on systems, tactics etc. Mentality is taking a back seat.
We need an experienced professional manager to bring a new winning mentality. No amount of groovy tactics will get us out of the shit in a league that is packed with big aggressive players that will run us ragged.

Topics: 80LK, there is no money for a different ‘manager’ or new players.
It is, what it is.
Investment & expenditure rules.
A bog standard Mini Metro ain’t ever going to out perform a Sierra Cosworth.
You need a big budget to get out of this league – in a positive direction.
You can’t inject talent, skill, knowledge, physicality, athletism, game understanding etc in to players.
They are where they are in their careers for a reason. No disrespect to any of them but they simply ain’t good enough. They are at the level that they are at because they are deficient in a number of qualities / skills required to be a top quality league player.
Motivation – difficult, the song is very apt… “you’re s4it and you know you are”.
Attitude – hard to maintain an upbeat, go get em, never say die attitude when you are getting spanked every week.
I doubt if Pep or Jurgen could galvanise this mob in to a winning team.
Daws is the patsy.November 28, 2022 at 9:12 am #249352Sendings off and soft penalties don’t help matters!
November 28, 2022 at 10:15 am #249353just seen the lowlights, penalty looked a very poor decision and surely Nuttall was entitled to go for that ball.
Am I biased or was the ref. a bit of a homer? I reckon both decisions would have been different had they occured at the other end.2 users thanked author for this post.
November 28, 2022 at 10:22 am #249354There is no money to replace the Manager and you can bet several players will be gone in January.
What we have is what we are stuck with it won’t improve , more than likely to get worse.
The Club is just drifting along until Mr Swann pulls the plug !

Vice-Admiral the Viscount Nelson lost an arm and was left with partial sight in one of his eyes after a couple of different battles.

We need 3 wise men from the east with sacks full of gold, Frankincense to add a more pleasant aroma and Myrrh to embalm the club as a last resort.November 29, 2022 at 9:15 am #249447Myrrh is the favourite with the bookies from the West.
