16 year olds are not classed as adults, so asked the question on consent people are happy with, I’m not happy with a 16 yr old consenting to having sex with a 60 year old whether it be gay or heterosexual, to me the age of consent is relevant. Just had a whole PRIDE MONTH here with as you say rainbows everywhere along with pubs serving rainbow cocktails and some very weird n wonderful attire on parade.

Now im not a bender and also in no way offended by anyones chosen path with regard to sexuality be it gay lesbian or transgender lady boy etc etc …HOWEVER as a run ov the mill guy constantly having it thrown in your face at every juncture is literally impossible to avoid and really tedious… Semms to me the closets must be emptying quicker nowadays as these LGBT events are becoming more n more prolific … IMO a whole month is just bonkers tho im told it was well received by the purveyors of KY jelly.

I can assure you Ironawe that I am not a victim of my upbringing, my dad would have me brought up as a cod, so all my views are mine and mine alone though I would say at least 90% will be different to most of the population, just because I don’t accept that being a gay is acceptable doesn’t mean I’m in the wrong, unless there’s some devine person, God, Deity whatever and not some government who says what I should accept them, I don’t and I won’t. As for the grandkids I know I’m a bad influence on them but all their parents know what I’m like but always been happy for me to take them to football swearing and all, I go out I don’t lecture people but in conversations I will always express my views and some are very out there whether people like it or not, my wife says I should be more empathetic or at least show it but it don’t happen, can’t imagine I’m going to change now. Thanks for the other comments by the way I like a laugh even if sometimes it’s at my expense.

Switch gay for black, Irish or woman and it would look a lot more obviously abhorrent and not because of what some government, god, genie, or other invoked authority says.I don’t think people should be treated worse or not accepted for a personal trait. If that offends or makes others feel uneasy, so what? Precious feelings and disgust are not protected characteristics and I’d rather society didn’t listen to the whims of the morally outraged over their emotional turmoil.

Personally, getting worked up over a pride event seems a bit snowflaky to me. No-one cares about the offence of those looking to be outraged.

During the coronation and Queen’s death there was saturated coverage and some people put flags out. I understand why, and have nothing against national mourning for the figurehead or celebration at the coronation, but some don’t like it.
