Rumours suggesting he is set to sign from Blackpool. Striker. Averages a goal every 10.
January 23, 2022 at 12:12 am #230282Games, hours or minutes?
January 23, 2022 at 12:18 am #230284Hopefully not ‘seasons’ NI 😆

January 23, 2022 at 1:15 am #230288Not read favourable things about Nuttall but he’s supposed to be quick, mobile and is a fair size…all we need him to do is kick the ball accurately at goal, if he manages just that he’ll be better than Jarvis.
All we need now is another CB, another striker besides Nuttall and 2 CM players.
Off you pop Hill, do the impossible !

January 23, 2022 at 6:04 am #230291One forward MUST be a back-to-goal player. As long as they are getting others into shooting positions …
January 23, 2022 at 9:30 am #230294Just hope he knows to shoot UNDER the crossbar! Sick of seeing the updates on Twitter….. shot goes over the bar

January 23, 2022 at 10:04 am #230298he can’t be any worse than what we have got, Burns doesn’t look as good as Scrimshaw to me and was no threat yesterday, can’t knock him for trying.
January 23, 2022 at 10:48 am #230299If he lives up to his name he should be alright.
January 23, 2022 at 11:06 am #230300If he scores a few goals it’ll be Minto.

January 23, 2022 at 11:15 am #230301Loan or permanent SST? Here for Tuesday? Wiki has him with about 1 in 6 games. Ex-Blackburn so looks like a Hill choice.
January 23, 2022 at 11:29 am #230303Out with a tangerine donkey-lasher tonight.
I’ll ask him, though he’ll probably say “who?”
January 23, 2022 at 11:57 am #230308If he scores a few goals it’ll be Minto.
I remember Mr Nutall, ran a hardware shop with his brother on Frod Road I believe. He used to come round the villages in his old van selling paraffin and shoe polish at the door. Don’t think he was much good at footy though.

January 23, 2022 at 12:06 pm #230311My mate has just sent me this link. Looks like it could be permanent!
January 23, 2022 at 12:58 pm #230319Mr Hill needs someone and quick, the other players who are fighting to stay up need recruits and quickly.
A new player with experience will help them a lot. Plus get Cam Wilson back and use as a winger because our corner count is shockingly low.

January 23, 2022 at 1:29 pm #230326I wonder if he can take a “penalty”, thats if we ever get into the penalty box and gain one!
Hope that he turns out to be OK, because we must have about eight players in the squad that are either never going to be good enough to even select, or are always out injured.

January 23, 2022 at 3:42 pm #230339Sounds interesting. Why’s he Bkackpool’s ‘forgotten man’? Surplus to requirements or frozen out?
January 23, 2022 at 3:54 pm #230340Disappointing to read the article and learn he’s not played since September 2020. How close to match fit can he be?

January 23, 2022 at 5:07 pm #230342Could be the next Ivan Toney… Give the lad a go.

January 23, 2022 at 5:18 pm #230343Given a run of games he will be decent. He joined us as a marquee signing by Simon Grayson and David Dunn which could have bee n a bit of a dodgy deal, the lad got loads of grief for not scoring and was quickly cast asisde. He went on loan to Northampton but was injured and went back and has not played since. He is a big lad and if he can get off the mark will end up scoring shed loads. He is a confidence player. If the deal comes off good luck to him. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

January 23, 2022 at 5:23 pm #230344Sounds right up our street
January 23, 2022 at 6:05 pm #230346“the lad got loads of grief for not scoring and was quickly cast asisde.”
A player driven out by fans? I thought we had the only fans that behaved that way.

January 23, 2022 at 6:06 pm #230347I think young Burns could well prosper with a ” big un ” playing up top with him in a 4-4-2, think he’s got something about him but he just needs a bit of help to kick on. I’d settle for a Hayes/Torpey result if the big lad gets signed

January 24, 2022 at 1:36 am #230357I wonder if he can take a “penalty”, thats if we ever get into the penalty box and gain one!
Guessing this is tongue in check as only three teams in League 2 have been awarded more penalties than us this season (we’ve had 5)!

Bit harsh on Burns, he was pissing in the wind on Saturday with zero support, you could see how visibly frustrated he was becoming the longer the game went on.

January 24, 2022 at 12:02 pm #230385Wouldn’t argue because he can’t play on his own upfront, I was just saying I think Scrimshaw looked better
January 24, 2022 at 12:03 pm #230386Nuttall was sat next to Earl Priestly on Saturday apparently

January 24, 2022 at 2:18 pm #230400Apparently, “he holds the ball up really well.”
It probably won’t happen then!January 25, 2022 at 12:50 pm #230455Hill in the Gazette “Myself and Joe are on the same page, it just comes down to our embargo and other people within the football club negotiating” I take that as a not coming then Mr Chairman. And if not Keith finally realising he has no chance of keeping us up with Swan at the helm
January 25, 2022 at 1:16 pm #230458If that’s the case Keith Hill will probably leave the club soon
