There you go again, Pat, making daft accusations. It’s pointless trying to have a discussion with someone who claims people are lying when all they’re actually doing is offering an opinion.

You make that very point in your comment regarding Nelson, so why make accusations about others when they do exactly the same thing? I certainly don’t see that comment as moaning and groaning. As you say, it’s just an opinion.

As for Swann, I was completely wrong about the man and have absolutely no problem saying so. We can obviously never know what would have happened had he not had his betting issues, but as others have pointed out these things have a major effect on people and must have had a big impact on his ability to run the club. I certainly wasn’t aware of them and it explains why things took such a nosedive for no obvious reason.

Either way, I’ll support the new owner and the club as I always have and always will unless and until there’s reason to do otherwise. I just hope everyone else does the same without jumping on the mistakes, which he — and the club — will undoubtedly make.

Accusing people of hating someone’s wealth, having agenda’s and saying I said catering was the biggest issue with the club under Swann is not having opinion’s it is telling lies!!!

Unless I have missed a post I have not to this day seen an apology to those of us you made those accusations against!

The gambling problem was nothing to do with the new ground not getting built, I and others told you at the time it was never, ever going to happen and was not needed. I asked you at the time how was it going to be financed and I’m still waiting for an answer all these years later, it was a pipe dream by a fantasist that you were sucked in by!

I listened to the Gainsborough supporters and they were 100% right, I placed my reservations about Swann on here from the off about Swann because I took the time to speak to people that had dealings with him at Gainsborough and I was ridiculed by you and many others that have long since crawled back under their stones like the cowards they are!

No mate I was critical of the astute businessman that is Peter Swann telling us fans we needed to support the club more and then when the fans turn up with money to spend, they had nothing to spend it on whether that be a pie, a replica kit or a match programme to name but a few!

Looks like the new owner isn’t one to be missing chances to bring in extra revenue. Positive start in that regard alone.

All these years under a dodgy chairman, who constantly blamed each of the plethora of managers for the poor form of a squad built on a shoestring. We now have a new owner, and a new manager. I doubt very much that they will hit the ground running, but this is the moment that we have been waiting for.

So bye bye Swann you cnut, and welcome Mr Hiltonand Mr Dean. The new manager has seen some success at a lower level, and Nelson has been retained on a contract now.

I’m back to being a glass half full man !

Listened to his interview and he seems a good guy. I don’t think he’ll suffer any slackers. Let’s all get behind him,his team and see where this ride takes us. Looking forward to the rest of the season with more hope then I’ve had for years.
