If Dean doesn’t get promoted with this squad of players serious questions will be asked because this is without the finest squad of players to ever compete at this level with the most support.
Oh and we’re a full time out fit.

January 14, 2024 at 10:12 pm #279296Agree with all that WG, though I’d throw in managing a squad during an unimaginable tumultuous and ultra extraordinary time plus one club’s remarkable success (Tamworth) in Dean’s favour. It may well be ‘the finest squad of players to ever compete at this level with the most support’ but it doesn’t guarantee anything. I’m really not a fan of his either but maybe he can do it. Fingers crossed.
January 14, 2024 at 10:59 pm #279297He was, then he turned the other cheek
Aye bloody Christian what a waste of space they are.

No doubt he’d manage in NLN. I’d go with Nelson personally. I was pissed off when he was over looked as manager before Dean came in.

January 16, 2024 at 10:49 am #279344Yes let’s go for a manager who’s managing a team 3rd from bottom in the northern league division 2. Good pick WG.

January 16, 2024 at 1:28 pm #279346The fraudster brought Mr Dean in to fail. Mr Nelson should have stayed until the seasons end and I think we would have stayed up but that wasn’t wanted.
Always liked Peter Wild when he was academy manager at Oldham. What he did at FC Halifax was outstanding, basically with little cash. We are a real project and I think suited for his methods, but not sure he would leave his latest rescue project – Barrow FC.

January 16, 2024 at 1:35 pm #279347Two games without a win, second in the league.
Could be seen as premature maybe?
There must be plenty of managers sweating lower down the NLN.January 16, 2024 at 2:12 pm #279350Some of this stuff about Dean resembles ” Graham Alexander Complex “, careful what you wish for.

In Alexander’s best season we got 36 away points, are we likely to match that.
January 16, 2024 at 4:03 pm #279353Cant say im adhered to Jimmy but he’s filling the brief just like Alexander so why anyone is talking of his demise beats me.

Agreed.
Thought he would’ve had more credit in the bank tbh, especially with the way he’s carried himself since been here.
The remit this year is promotion, if we fail that then he has to go, but until then he has my full support.
January 16, 2024 at 6:56 pm #279360He has my full support whatever the outcome this season, im sure it’s being very stressful for him and the team with the ongoings this season off the pitch.

If we can’t gain promotion with the squad he’s got then something is wrong somewhere. I doubt we’ll keep him if we stay in NLN. I just can’t see it.

January 17, 2024 at 4:53 pm #279401” this is without the finest squad of players to ever compete at this level” do you know every squad ever to play this level?, it could be the most expensive ,you’re perhaps mixing best and most expensive up?
Jimmy Dean came in and brought a ton of players, sacked off the ones who had started to show promise under a manager who was growing in stature. He’s Hilton’s man, make no mistake and he should never have had to delete his tweets on taking the job. He seems to have been rehabilitated by a timely operation and keeping his mouth shut ,nothing he’s done on the pitchJanuary 17, 2024 at 7:22 pm #279404Oh please enlighten us all on the players who Jimmy sacked off who were showing promise 64.
January 17, 2024 at 7:26 pm #279405Aspiring manager?
Players showing promise?I thought this site got into trouble for libel

January 17, 2024 at 9:55 pm #279410It’s promotion or failure and it’s as simple as that!!
If it’s failure he has to go and we need to find an appointment that galvanises the community to keep paying football league prices to watch football at an amateur (part time) league
January 18, 2024 at 9:44 am #279424Don’t think Pep would leave city to come here who have you got in mind SS? I’m paying less than £7 a game this season that’s about fair for the league we’re in.

January 18, 2024 at 12:12 pm #279429Didn’t he try to push Butterfield out?
January 18, 2024 at 12:27 pm #279430Latest managerial statement ” We can still …..” Do not like the word CAN. Plus now calling it a must win game – they all are for goodness sake.
I know we are second, but the gates have to stay up to help Michelle and the Board. It is not the wins but the nature of defeats that is at issue.
