Well he might be from NLN, but seems to know how to win stuff. Let’s hope he continues with this habit with us!

    James Dean.
    Hopefully he’s not flying up?

Is the Vice Admiral shipwrecked then?

Feel sorry for Nelson, hope he gets a crack at it elsewhere. However, we need a fresh start. I expect there’s going to be some big changes.

Harsh on Nelson who has done a great job with both hands behind his back but Hilton is obviously not here to mess about.

Hope his football judgement is better than that of his predecessor.

Don’t think Cliff is at Posh anymore – did not he leave with McCann?

    P27 – W10 – D6 – L11 – F35 – A36 GD-1 Pts36

13th place at the moment, of 24 teams.
16 points behind the leaders and only automatic promotion spot.
They’ve also played 2 more games than the leaders.

Not exactly ripping the amateur league up 🤷‍♂️

Marry in haste, repent at leisure!

On the contrary, has 4 promotions in 7 seasons. A newly promoted club is not necessarily going to rip up the league, but he has done well so far with them.

Meanwhile Nelson’s only previous full time coaching role is getting Blyth into the relegation spots in NLN. On the basis of track record Dean trumps Nelson.

Although Nelson has made a good fist of his interim role, now is not the time for sentiment. Trust in the new owner until he gives us real cause not to. He has indicated that new players will come in the next 2 weeks. United we stand. Up the Iron.

Jimmy Dean had a hit in 60s with Big Bad John. Sounds like a good centre forward to me.

Fair enough, but I can’t get excited by NLN player recruitment. Finance probably a factor but you couldn’t expect a massive improvement on-field really.

Cliff has left Peterborough. Could he be Dean’s no. 2? If so, a bit harsh on Nelson.

It states in Peterborough Telegraph that he’s taking a couple of players with him.

    4 promotions in 7 seasons.

could have been 4 in 5 or 6 were it not for Covid.

been working under a transfer embargo this season with a club punching well above it’s weight & got them pushing play-offs

he’s taken some higher division scalps with PSL in cups & is a proper student of the game.

whether the transition to full time works for him, as one of the brightest young managers in non-league he deserves a crack.

believe Chris Plummer going with him as assistant and a couple of players too.

has established relationships with Peterborough United & Stevenage too.

Even though Peterborough Sports are only midtable in NLN they are by far and away the smallest team in it with smallest budget etc and widely accepted if they avoid relegation it will be/ would have been Jimmy Dean’s greatest achievement after 4 promotions previously.

Nelson been given a contract to stay on as a coach with Dean and Plummer as the management set up. Good move by Hilton as it gives Nelson some security now, he was here on non contract terms as an interim.

All a bit of a shock this Dean fella coming in , actually gutted for Nelson .. after dross like Cox Hill n Daws he was doing a great job with what he had at his disposal.

Im sure many more changes ahead .. Me Hilton isnt hanging about implementing them either.

3696 att … so over 1000 returnees for what seems to have been a good game and great atmos to welcome the new boss.
