Realistically Hill would be a good appointment.

    Realistically?
    Waste of time and money.
We KNOW who makes the decisions, whose club it is.
Let him do it…and stand or fall by it.
    I’m past caring.

I can’t see it working for Scunthorpe United being big and nasty with the players we have now. If the system means hoofing the ball up who would win the ball up front. It wouldn’t be Loft or Scrimshaw as they are not physical enough to win the challenges and look at Green and Hypolite. There’s no way that midfield currently playing now would be up to the physical challenge neither. I just can’t see the transition to physical and nasty football being successful particularly with our inexperienced youngsters. It’s results that matter now I know but Swann has to get the right manager, the balls well and truly in his court, or should I say the chickens come home to roost. C’mon Swann offer Nigel the job.

Whoever is appointed it would be good if they had the same attitude as the new Spurs boss: –

“Conte’s has said that every member of the first team unit would be treated equally and that nothing but 100% commitment would be tolerated.

He also vowed to improve every player on the condition that they buy into his ultra-demanding philosophy.”

If you don’t care Alcy why not drift off into the sunset? Instead of repeating the same old same old, we no where your coming from and there’s no coming back for you until swanny leaves.

I’m as entitled to my opinion as anyone, you included.
Opinions are like arseholes, we’ve all got one.
If you don’t like mine, you can jog on.
You don’t have to read it.

I suspect, given the diminishing number of supporters through the turnstiles, I’m not the only one had enough of the fat man.

I said the same the other day that we haven’t got that type of striker but you can bet that if it is Hill that comes in, he’ll be bringing 1 in come January.

I think we always did need a big and nasty striker anyway to ruffle feathers, at times we’re too nice to play against.

When certain sections of the fan base were criticising Steve Torpey because he wasn’t scoring 20 plus goals a season, the majority were saying ” yeah that’s because you don’t watch the game properly and see what he really brings to the team “. How I wish we had a Steve Torpey now in our team.

Not convinced that hoof ball is the way to go. The better teams in the league are not playing that style. To make it work you need good wingers, overlapping full backs and another lively forward to work with the big un. Don’t see much of that in the current squad.

Defenders and the goalie hoofing the ball just gives it back to the other side.

Who gives a crap ?. Look, if we play that way and stay up then I’d be all for it. In an ideal world we’d play good football but needs must at the moment, we need to stay up by any means necessary.

I remember the Rochdale sides under Hill and they were anything but silky but what they lacked in finesse they were difficult to play against, effective at what they did and were very well organized.

I’d take that at this present time. Questionable thought until January as were missing a big n nasty.

Out wide on the left I’d play O’Malley beestin pugh in the middle and Wilson on the right. I’d play Scrimshaw with Loft but if Scrimshaw doesn’t show more I’d stick Wilson upfront off loft and stick Green on the right.

I still think there’s a player in Green if the manager drills it in to him that he needs to use his pace. Green in reality just needs to knock the ball forward and run his man on the outside.

I doubt many would catch him at this level.

I’d start Rowe instead of Millen at RB as Millen can’t really defend. Taft and Manny at CB. I don’t rate Davis at all.

Why is it the majority of you just cannot see that it does not matter who is Manager of this football club? get into your heads that while Swann is here we could have a Jurgen and Pep double act and it won’t make a blind bit of difference!!! How many Managers have we had under Swanns tenure? 8? 9? Ive lost count!!! You can’t tell me they have all been bad Managers and if they have how can Swann get it so wrong on so many occasions???

Cox was yet another scapegoat! the person that needs to go is Swann, until he does we will just keep doing what we have been doing since he took over, dropping lower and lower.

SOD OFF SWANN AND TAKE YOUR FOOTBALL MANAGER WANNABE SON WITH YOU!

    “Who gives a crap ?”.

I do!! You often right these posts where the players are going to suddenly improve and then a couple of matches later they are “dog mess” and need “binning off”.

Will Green and Loft be able to control the ball better because Hill is the manager?
