Having read his wiki I see that he is a 31 year old central midfielder and defensive midfielder. He has been around, but this is the first I’ve ever heard of him.

Have any of you guys any knowledge of him, could he sure up our midfield?

I saw a video of him playing for Galatasaray against Liverpool. He looked great but it was a long time ago.

L2 could suit him as Turkish football is imho a bit tough compared to, for example our premier league.

I just hope he is the answer we need in midfield.

    Let’s hope so LK.

31 is not over the hill like it once was, and a CMF with experience is something we’ve been missing.

My only reservation is the time he’s spent outside the English game.

But fingers crossed he can bring something to the party.

Seem to remember he was in the Reading side that we drew against to secure championship status.

It is claimed he has demonstrated ‘leadership’ as he has worked together with the squad.
Him in with both Taylor and Vincent gone is good news.
Hmm. Any other loanees who might go do we reckon?

Always looked a top player for Reading but that was a long time ago. Let’s hope he hits the ground running!

Can’t let Cordner go without another CB in can we?

Rowe should be playing ahead of Cordner.

By the way I don’t know if any of you know this but Karacan was an ever present in Wycombe’s pre season games and did really well…he only missed one game.

Wycombe fans really liked the look of him but the club stalled on offering him a contract so he didn’t hang about.

If that’s anything to go by, there’s a lot of life in him yet…only 31yr old as well. I vaguely remember him as a youngster running the game for reading against Liverpool, long time ago now but still not that old.

Bit of a signing this one I feel.

Rowe is a right back, cordner is a centre back.

I’d argue Rowe was a competent footballer and Cordner isn’t.

Clarke has played Centre Back plenty of times so Rowe can slot in at RB.

It is a funny thing, even though the club have 31 players on their books, we are short of central mid-field players, we don’t have a decent centre forward, and have two keepers that are not wort a toss, so which playing positions are more than being fully covered, please don;t tell me that the medical room is one, I am aware of that.

    Cordner out Nightingale in, Cass?
    Perhaps too much to hope.

I recall Rowe at Exeter and frankly, I’d prefer him at CB. Tough and reads the game well. Lacks the physique maybe?

Are we able to return Cordner or do we have to grit our teeth and beg for Bournemouth to recall him?

Just a thought. Totally new 1 and 2 GKs next season – if there is a ‘next season’ for us?

” so which playing positions are more than being fully covered,”

Butroid is only 4th choice LB barton so we’re OK there.

100% agree. Clarke, for me, has played his best games at centre back.

Rowe and Clarke are our players. Loan players should only play and stay at the club if they are clearly better than what we have.

On the evidence of half a season, Cordner definitely isn’t!!

I’d put Jerry in at CB before Cordner

It wouldn’t surprise me if we soon signed Nightingale and then waited till end of this month when Mcgahey and Onariase are back and send Cordner back to Bournemouth.

Bedeau can go for me as well and promote Barks to the 4th CB slot.

I wonder if there would be a team out there that would want him ?

    Yes. That amused me.

I’d have a little wager with myself that Mr Bedeau would happily accept a 50% reduction in wages in exchange for a new deal!

The guy has loads of ability but just seems to turn off at vital times. If there’s two things CBs must possess, they are concentration and a sense of what is happening around them.
I spotted this when he first came into the side and was amazed that so many seemed willing to praise him back then.

Could he perhaps be trained to become something other than a CB? – It’s a real shame to see ability going to waste. The lad does try and usually isn’t afraid to get stuck in.

He’s only just turned 21, and let’s not forget Villa shelled out £900,000 for him as a teenager!

Like so many of our exciting “young & hungry” prospects Bedeau has stagnated rather than developed.

Wonder if it’s anything to do with our coaching and training set-up?

Oooooooooooooooo! Surely not, they’ve all (well some of them) been here for several years so they must be doing OK. After all look at our success recently.

Bedeau’s a funny one. He *looks* a good player, has all the right attributes, right up until that moment when it all goes wrong….

    Well put.
CBs are the outfield players that, usually, you can least afford to have dropping mega clangers.
If one man repairs defence and a second repairs CM, then we might stand some chance of being competitive – however much we need a striker.

Bedeau reminds me a bit of Canavan.

Better on the ball and less physically gifted but like Niall he can be brilliant and then just seemingly stops paying attention for a moment.

We were at one of the End of Season Dinners in the Exec Lounge with Lee Turnbull as the MC. The raffle was drawn at one end of the room, first prize was won by Niall who was at the bar right at the other end of the room. As Niall set off to present his winning ticket Lee commented ‘This could take some time’ It was very funny but I guess Niall has had the last laugh. UTWI

Bedeau is a bit of a poor man’s John Stones.

Very comfortable with the ball and lots of his defensive work is really good. But once or twice in a game he loses concentration and consequently loses the man he is looking after.

Unfortunately centre back errors are more costly than for any of the other outfield players.

Typically centre backs are mid twenties before they play consinstantly well. In my view he has improved this season but only good enough when playing with an experienced partner.

Corner is not as good a prospect in my opinion althought we have not really seen him with an experienced partner alongside him.

Given Taft is left sided Cordner might get the nod to partner him until Onariase and/or McGahey are ready to return.

I would perservere with Bedeau myself. I believe there is a quality player in there even if we might have to wait a while to see it on a consistent basis.

Don’t be surprised if you see three at the back tomorrow.
