Has to look a lot better in training than the players who surround him to be considered worth a punt.
I have a memory of him being a very small but quite tough midfield schemer. If he still has it, would potentially be an upgrade on Spence but is that really the direction to take things in?
Used to be really good for Reading against us but that was way back in the Championship days. Whatever he’s like nowadays I think we could do with central midfield reinforcements with Vincent being out. If Beestin or Spence join him on the treatment table we’ve only really got Hornshaw and Pugh, neither of whom are ready IMHO.
A number of posters have expressed the need for an experienced CMF.

If he impresses in training then give him a contract until the end of the season. My only concern would be that he’s not played a competitive game for well over a year.
