December 27, 2022 at 4:59 pm #251247In HMRC bailiffs
Out,computers, desks ,chairs, life size cut out of Swann, stock,Tractor etc etc12 users thanked author for this post.
December 27, 2022 at 9:57 pm #251271As soon as Lavery goes we will really be in deep shit. Apter has probably lost the will to live so he won’t be a huge miss but is still a player less we can call upon.
Lavery is the only one who knows where the goal is !
Carver is absolute dog mess. Dewhurst is terrible but now with Foster out, crikey!
Nthle and Hallam as a gust of wind away from 2 or 3 months out.
Bit off topic but somebody needs to come out and shed some light on this takeover, it’s taking the pish now.
December 27, 2022 at 11:07 pm #251277I was told today that Lavery has a couple of weeks left on his initial deal. As it stands I don’t think they will be able to extend it under the embargo.
Kgosi is out of contract so we can safely assume he is leaving and its been obvious for a while that Apter is on the way.
Would suggest Moore Billam and Lewis will be back soon to make up the numbers!
Hull were happy to send us a taxi load of their kids last month and offered to pay their entire salaries to get them game time, but we couldn’t do it.
Will be interesting to see if we get special dispensation to bring in a keeper if Foster is out for a while…

When did this embargo start?
How long is it for?December 28, 2022 at 5:50 am #251290Out – Dewhurst, Apter, Nthle and Lavery if his contract is up.
In – Some of the youngsters
December 28, 2022 at 8:14 am #251291We have been under a new embargo for a while due to the current financial situation and unpaid tax bills. It’s been at least a month as I mentioned it on a couple of podcasts at the start of December. Nelson and Turnbull have alluded to it several times of late in interviews. I think it is so poor, but not surprising, that the club and also the National league are refusing to comment and be transparent with supporters.

December 28, 2022 at 9:09 am #251293Can’t see that a transfer embargo is necessary. With things as they are who would even consider signing for us?
How much has been spent compiling the list of players that Turnbull has said we’d like to sign?December 28, 2022 at 9:25 am #251294do you think the Swanns threw the dummy out because they didn’t get the new Stadium, what a sad state of affairs, I was told on Saturday by someone involved with the Consortium that they expected a few holes here and there in the negotiations, but not a million.
December 28, 2022 at 10:30 am #251302Thanks very much for that information SST and i agree with your sentiments entirely.
We must be fast approaching the point where Turnbull and Wright`s positions become untenable.
Mick when Swann arrived a source very close to Gainsborough Trinity told me that he would give it 3 years before Swann lost interest and found something else to spend the familys time/money on (Blackpool?).Sadly,he wasn
t a million miles off being correct.1 user thanked author for this post.
December 28, 2022 at 2:55 pm #251328It just gets worse, why isn’t Turnbull paying the taxman never had this problem when Swann was in charge.

December 28, 2022 at 3:11 pm #251330SST where is your source for the transfer embargo, why no “Time to pay agreement” very unusual not to have one with the taxman, I know Southend broke their aggrement and that’s why the HMRC are trying to wind them up, where are we?

I honestly had no idea about this new embargo. That no doubt solidifies the comment above. I haven’t listened to the podcasts or to any post match interviews in a quite a while. I can’t bring myself to do so with the current state of the club the way it is.
Bit strange as I haven’t read anything about it in any news feeds I’ve seen pop up.
Unbelievable carry on !

It’s time to circle the wagons for the Battles of Greasy Grass.
Custer (Nelson) faces the Nations (Clubs) of the Plains led by amongst others – Chief Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse & Lame White Man.
The Battles of the Greasy Grass and commonly referred to as Custer’s (Nelson) Last Stand took place on the terrace of the Little Big Horn River (River Trent).
Can our Lt Colonel Custer (Nelson) turn the tide and avoid another massacre?
Or, is he and his troops adrift and dead men in the water?December 29, 2022 at 4:06 am #251372Surely there is only one in and one out we all desire?

There is one in place.

So, the fuse it lit!
How much do we owe?
Surely it can’t be that great a sum?December 29, 2022 at 9:28 am #251380I understand it’s more than a months wages!

December 29, 2022 at 9:35 am #251382You clearly know more than us average fans SST….anything more you can tell us ? You are doing a better job in keeping us informed than the fans director.

More than a months wages for the Clubs entire staff?
What’s that amount to then? £150k ?
I’ve no idea what the wages bill is 🤷♂️December 29, 2022 at 10:00 am #251384At least we can put to bed the myth that Swanny doesn’t want to sell, quite obvious that it’s in Swannys best interest, if the administrators or liquidators get hold of the club Swann could end up with next to nothing once all the debts are paid off, I guess a lot of posters will have to eat humble pie now on the theory’s they have come up with over the last few years. “Wants the land to sell to developers” which is worth 900.000 pounds by the way. Lol.
December 29, 2022 at 10:00 am #251385Ian Sharp reportedly paid around £150,000 for November’s wage bill.
Tax was due last week. I think realistically they have another week, maybe two, to agree a sale…3 users thanked author for this post.
December 29, 2022 at 10:25 am #251388Any idea why we didn’t give notts county and chesterfield more tickets to bring more money in to lessen the burden?
December 29, 2022 at 10:32 am #251389Any idea why we didn’t give notts county and chesterfield more tickets to bring more money in to lessen the burden?
You weren’t very supportive when I suggested that.
December 29, 2022 at 10:34 am #251391Awaywego, have you forgot if the club goes bust, swanny still owns the ground and the land. The football club itself is currently worthless as all it owns is debts and a national league status.
December 29, 2022 at 10:56 am #251392The more that is revealed the sadder it becomes, good job we have SST attempting to keep us in the loop as best he can with the little snippets he picks up here and there. As he says it’s a disgrace the club and authorities aren’t keeping the fans more informed, yes certain things will have to remain confidential but the way it’s sounding and looking there is going to be a giant bomb dropped very soon and it ain’t going to be pretty. Surely a quick sale is the only hope now before liquidation arrives.
December 29, 2022 at 11:35 am #251395Should have realized I was mucking about Cass just a reverse negative sorry, always been supportive of more money going into our club just so long as it wasn’t from me I’ve always tried to give them as little as possible always be in run as a shit show for all the time we’ve been
at glanny park.December 29, 2022 at 11:40 am #251396And what’s he going to to do with the ground and land Random, sit on it like the Rotherham owner did? It’s still there stands and floodlights evidently youth football being played there now.
