Now the club’s seventy two years as a member of the Football League are drawing to an ignominious end, mostly by either your actions or inactions, I think it’s time for you to step up and do one of two things.
Either set the club right, keep some of your many promises, start work on renovation and get some more income. You are supposed to be an astute businessman, get someone else in with you.
Or announce you’re walking at the end of the season, selling the club to the highest bidder.
But remember what you said: you’d leave the club better off than it was, and you’ll give the ground and land back.7 users thanked author for this post.

March 20, 2022 at 6:21 pm #233960Not worth posting on here anymore.
Some coward censored my post.
I give up, I really do.
Here’s this utter c*nt ruining OUR club, and someone on here is protecting him because they are afraid of him.
Well f*ck off then.I’m out of here.

March 20, 2022 at 6:32 pm #233964Probably done with the best of intentions Alcy. Not worth the hassle for you (or Bru) to get into legal issues.
I do think some kind of protest regarding how the club was allowed to get into this position is called for. Apart from gate gate the Iron supporters are accepting a dire situation without a protest. Having a moan on here is neither useful or effective.

Spot on, one of the reasons I probably won’t make anymore games. Protest probably won’t do much good as it appears Lord Lucan has gone for good but doing nowt is terrible
March 20, 2022 at 6:55 pm #233966Who would want to buy us for the price Swann will want?
The share value of the club when he took over was, I believe, around £1m – and of course the club owned their own ground.
Whilst the shares themselves are worthless Swann made a series of share issues that he himself took up – notionally placing the share value of the club at several millions of pounds.
Having now hived off the ground (and ascribing a notional value of around £11m to it) it seems to me that Mr Swann will be seeking offers in the region of 8 figures – certainly if any prospective purchaser wants to take the ground back rather than being left with Swann as the landlord.
This also nearly recoups most of the money he squandered at the clubs expense of course.
For this hefty investment you will get a loss making entity, on an unprecedented downward spiral, with no playing squad worth talking about and a stadium that is falling down.
Besides that, you’d have the issue of having to totally reorganise the off field structure of the club – unless you were happy with the current chief scout et al.
Whilst I’m sure there must be a kind hearted simpleton out there who also happens to be a multi millionaire I’d be surprised if he came knocking on our door anytime soon because he’s probably under lock and key for his own safety.
The reality is that either by incompetence or design, Swann seems to have managed to make us totally unsaleable – unless he is simply prepared to give the club and ground away of course for next to nothing – which seems even more unlikely than the kind hearted simpleton scenario described above.

I would go with just about all that … Swann has most definately made the club as a business entity more or less worthless and ny on impossible to sell.
A devout Scunny fan needs to win the Euro millions or a consortium of business people …anything to get Swann gone.
the football is embarassingly bad worse still is the apparent lack of fight n desire to even try to win a game .. Nuttal is only one goal off being the seasons top scorer i believe thats a shambolic stat.Gareths ironarmy YT vlog made for painful viewing except for the magnificent away support , so well done to all that went to Salford.

March 21, 2022 at 12:35 am #233977I did say after the rotherham playoffs defeat the club would go to pot and its sadly gone that way. Swann needs to go now enough damage has been done and the fans who love this once proud club are suffering. Its an absolute embarrassment and we are simply a laughing stock. I wouldnt be surprised if we drop again next season either because it will only get worse while swann has hold of our club. SWANN OUT!

I think he’s got 2? And Loft & Hippo both got 4.
APB’s post makes for a pretty sobering but realistic read. It’s hard to see a short-term way out of this hole.
