RIP SCUNTHORPE UNITED.
April 15, 2022 at 4:56 pm #235643Shame……..
April 15, 2022 at 5:07 pm #235648What happens next? The biggest fight this club has ever had. It will be difficult, but not impossible. A new chairman, a wedge to spend on the transfer market, and Kieth Hill given license to rebuild our team.
We are not the type of fans that will stop supporting our club just because of the shit we are in.
Get digging those trenches….

April 15, 2022 at 5:14 pm #235656Far from convinced about Hill. Total clear out required, and that includes the manager.

Slowly coming round to this line of thought. Was his biggest advocate before he came in, and I know there are massive extenuating circumstances but the performances are getting worse every week.
Unfortunately he’s part of the rot now.

April 15, 2022 at 5:20 pm #235662On the past 5 months neither would I! Seems to be very stubborn and isolates players we have enough of this with hurst and cox, seen some of the national leagues games with my mate and there is some very strong sides in that league.
We need the take over done ASAP preferably before the season finishes and the new owner needs to be very strong take no shit make no promises about stadia, new grounds, flats , upgrading GP and generally all the bullshit we have been fed just invest in the team.
April 15, 2022 at 5:21 pm #235664Great.
Let’s get rid of a successful manager who knows the game and has a record of many successes.
Until you can tell me who will come in who guarantees to be better than Hill – I’ll not be supporting your posts!4 users thanked author for this post.
April 15, 2022 at 5:34 pm #235669Not been any better than Cox has he. What suggests he will get any improvement next year? I agree it needs a full clear out. I’d go all the way through the youth set up too.
April 15, 2022 at 5:36 pm #235671What we need now is the dream consortium to step in.
It would consist of Simon Elliot and Nigel Adkins.
Oh and of course some silly biggar with loadsa money and very little sense.
April 15, 2022 at 5:48 pm #235676April 15, 2022 at 5:52 pm #235677Swann the bad guy for sure les, but Hill could and should have done much better.

April 16, 2022 at 9:01 am #235765What amazes me is players such has pyke, nuttall, matheson and many other come from higher leaguers clubs so they can’t be bad players, they just seem not to perform when with us.

True, Hill might have been good in the past, but all involved in this season have been damaged by what’s happened. Confidence is at rock bottom and the spectre of failure hangs over them. It’s best for all involved to have a fresh start elsewhere, and get on with a root and branch rebuild at the club.April 16, 2022 at 9:23 am #235767new owners start from scratch .. keep a few promising youngsters but get rid of the whole lot of this current group of , has beens , miss fits and lazy blood suckers …including Hill ..i also do not trust him to build a squad going on what he HAS NOT achieved since taking over ..harsh but true
NEW BROOM SWEEPS CLEAN .. im praying for new rich enthused owners to get the club back on track in the next 2 or 3 seasons .. it wont happen next season or the season after … if the team stays as is expect to drop out the NL this time next year.
regardless what level they play at least be competitive … i shall for ever remain claret n blue all way thru..
Sad sad day indeed
April 16, 2022 at 11:52 am #235782A “rich man” throwing money and long contracts about like confetti contributed to our current plight.
It’s structure that’s paramount.
