Yesterday, it was reported that Mr Swann was at GP.

“And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,
    The moon,
    The moon,
They danced by the light of the moon.”

    The Owl and the Pussy-Cat
    BY EDWARD LEAR

    We will rise again,
We will dance on the sand,
We will not only enjoy the moonlight,
We will bask in the sun!
    UTI.

A runcible spoon is actually a fork.

If the 💩 is lumpy and firm a fork would work, I’m sure if the kiosks were empty NI the boardroom would still be stuffed to the gunnels.

It would appear that we’ve moored up at the Hilton.
Hopefully we’ll be getting a Waldorf Astoria and not a Garden Inn (Doncaster)
Penthouse please, we deserve the best!

Chugging along like one of the old Humber paddle steamers.

We’ll get there but it may take a while!

Ah memories of me taking the ferry across the Humber to Hull in my youth, supping bottles of Blue Bass along the way. No lager louts on board back then.

The walk out along New Holland pier was an experience. Especially on a breezy day!

Walked down the pier at NH with my Dad when I was about 7. Gust of wind took his trilby lifted it off his head and took it about 15 yards out and above The Humber. 2nd gust of wind and it came back about another 15 yards behind us at the side of the tracks.
Staff member – woman in a uniform of some sort – stretched out an arm and took as neat a high and wide catch as Botham ever did at 2nd slip.
    Astonishment all round. Grateful pater.

My version nowhere near as interesting.
    So I’ll tell you.
On way back from France after leading a school trip, my proletarian hat blown off by a gust of wind whilst boarding ship from Boulogne to Calais. Went several feet in the air but had to catch it myself.

Then realising over half were missing because Ernest had sold them before the voyage started, quality deckchairs that is.
