I know that mathematically, as things stand, we could avoid relegation. What I don’t know is whether our chairman and his manager are getting ready for a big relegation battle, or are building a squad in readiness for NLN next season.

The single match they have played doesn’t give us much to go on, we were always going to lose that one, even if we were closer to them in the league.

However, after training together for two weeks, will we see a difference?

Buying a lot of players from the league below suggests a certain amount of bets being hedged – give them a chance to prove themselves in a higher league but in the knowledge they are solid performers if we go down.
