Another shocking half hearted performance without Van Veen and McGahey we are National League North, must be one of the favourites for relegation losing three on the trot to teams below us.

Playing 1 up front at home with a striker who doesn’t score many goals and again we defend like a Sunday League Division 7 team, the trouble is it isn’t a one off, this minus our 3 injured players are the worst team for years, even the fight has gone from Gillihead, Eisa & McAtee

Lucky we had that week to work on tactics, defensive issues and set plays otherwise it could have been really embarrassing.

Novak and Sutton combining again to put Bradford ahead at Tranmere. Morecambe just equalised against Cods.

With Mansfield beating us and Southend getting their third win on the trot we’re in danger of being dragged down there again.

Need another jammy win from somewhere.

We are in a relegation fight now. with a team ill equipped to get us out of trouble. Eisa is now becoming an embarrassment – should leave in January. The biggest concern is Cox who is now so far out of his depth he is losing his grip on reality. He is Swann’s mouthpiece so won’t be going anywhere which is the irony as he probably does deserve to get the boot. This doesn’t cover the fact that Swann is slowly destroying the club…..

Shame Novak and Sutton couldn’t combine at scunny, or Novak and Wootton for that matter, bit unfortunate that Bradford and Southend are hitting promotion form at the moment, but come end of season you finish were you deserve to.

Bemused at Cox’s after match interview, ” we changed things round and brought forward thinking players on” why not have forward thinking players on from the start? Instead of having to chase the game all the time. We have been quite successful when WE take the lead.

Macclesfield, Peterborough and Sheffield Wednesday didn’t last season.

Cox also said “we chased the game after that, but made bad decisions from set-plays and our delivery wasn’t very good.”

So he can see a problem but doesn’t seem to do anything about it. O’Malley is the best at set- plays, but Cox allows Eisa to take the ball off him and then deliver pathetic corners and free kicks. Sort it out Cox.

Very interesting to see the almost total lack of interest from the other players when McAtee scored to give us a chance of getting something from the game. Sums up their attitude and level of enthusiasm for Scunthorpe United that some of them clearly have.

Lack of interest from our players is not a new problem, it seems to be a recurring problem year after year, they start OK but then fade away and can’t seem to get away quick enough, just what happens to them when they get here. It something that has happened under succesive managers so it’s not a manager effect, perhaps its something else in the club they aren’t happy with! Maybe it’s something to do with promises made to lure them here which didn’t materialise, how many times did we hear players say they had come because we were having a new stadium and were targeting championship football only to get here and realise it was all a pipedream.
