Painful.
September 3, 2024 at 11:43 am #290451I’m sure they are all salt of the Earth sorts and so on and so on – but Max Bell is so grating.
September 3, 2024 at 12:43 pm #290452Not listened in a long time – still lots of painfully forced “bantz”?
September 3, 2024 at 12:44 pm #290453Lower the game ;)
Not looked in for a long time either. Don’t want to induce nausea.
September 3, 2024 at 12:45 pm #290454Anything of interest, except for Max irritating Scarborough fans with his jibes at their club?
September 3, 2024 at 1:02 pm #290456‘Ticketmasteresque’? Behave yerself!

Just Scarborough fans?
September 3, 2024 at 5:13 pm #290462September 3, 2024 at 5:49 pm #290464Sounds like I’m the only one, but I’ve quite enjoyed it in recent months. Think we are fortunate to have 2 podcasts dedicated to talk about SUFC.

September 3, 2024 at 5:57 pm #290466The “banter” is a bit forced but they are not really aiming at my demographic which is fine.
The club is big enough for more than 1 podcast and both help in developing and engaging the fan base. Both do a great job.

September 3, 2024 at 7:07 pm #290467I enjoy it, as I do the Bru podcast – not sure how serious the ‘playful’ jibes are between the two but I agree that there is more than room for both pods. I also enjoy watching the Iron Army videos on YouTube, and I think any passion projects relating to the club should be encouraged.
Appreciate not everyone will feel the same, opinions are like a**eholes etc…

September 4, 2024 at 10:04 am #290489I tried the Iron Hour pod and it wasn’t for me, one person in particular just seemed to like the sound of his own voice a bit too much which was enough for me to turn off. I enjoy the Bru pod, probably because it’s less “bantz” and more serious football talk.
I sometimes watch Gareth’s videos for the alternative footage of the game but the pre/post match talking heads are a bit repetitive so I just skip past them. This is clearly a labour of love for him and I think it adds a bit of value to the overall experience for a quite a few fans so good on him for dedicating what I assume is a lot of time to it.

September 4, 2024 at 11:38 am #290492I gave it another listen yesterday and in fairness it wasn’t as bad as previous ones I’d listened to. Thought the best bit was the guy from Radio Staffordshire to tell us about Newcastle Town, I wonder if the Bru guys have ever thought about getting on contributors from other teams?

He does have an air of being completely self-satisfied. So to speak.
