Protests continuing and now some of the riot police sent to quell them are giving up. It’s impossible to know how widespread this is, but it could be some glimmers of an escalation which could be terminal for the regime. Optimism on my behalf, maybe, but it’s one country that would be good to see some more progressive improvement. I have spoken to Iranians myself, all of whom truly hate the regime and want this to end. Let’s hope it does and it can become free and more democratic.

Would be unbelievable if the Iranian women could get some proper democratic justice but these religious fanatics are so intense, they will take some bloody shifting IMO but good luck to Iranians fighting for their internal freedom.

The only time God has revealed Himself in “time”, is in Jesus Christ. He proved He was God in human form by performing miracles,brought the dead back to life ,died on the Cross and rose again to prove who He was. God’s command is to repent and have faith in the only mediator between God and Man(Jesus Christ)to receive the undeserved gift of Grace and Eternal life in Heaven.

You obviously used “Laws of Logic” to come to this conclusion. Where do the laws of logic come from? If we are just created from a “Big Bang” ( how can you get life from non-life?), where do the laws of logic come from?? Once you think about this question your presuppositions will be in exposed as foolishness.

Agreed.

But I’ve made it no secret that I have faith in one who I pray to. For me prayer is dynamic and gives me involvement and agency in situations that are heart rending and otherwise saturated with a sense of futility and impotence. There’s much that is mysterious about this … but then I’m not claiming to understand everything.

Childless and Godless. That life can be full and well lived but it still ends with your last breath, and there’s nothing after that.

I would agree. But I wouldn’t say it’s meaningless. Meaning is a human construct IMO. Having a child can still be meaningless for some people. Just the same as a meaningful life can be constructed around other themes that have nothing to do with children and God.

The atheist will “try” to create meaning to an ultimately meaningless worldview.
They are suppressing the truth in unrighteousness.
I will start another thread to put points forward to show an evolutionary “accident” worldview is unsustainable and only a creationist worldview can be the logical answer.

An ‘evolutionary worldview’ makes as little sense as a ‘gravity worldview’ or a ‘plate tectonics worldview.’ It is a scientific theory and no moral code comes from it, because it is an explanation as to how animals have changed through time. Your premise is flawed from the start.

At least you’re moving this elsewhere now, after triggering a reaction (I believe deliberately) on a thread where it is most unbecoming.
