You may be a few years older than me.
Happy days at the OSG with 3.15 k.o. and early evening k.o., too: 7.15 and even 6.45, iirc.

Yes inspector, those were the days mate, those kick off times were made so that10 to 6 steelworks night shift workers could attend games prior to going to work. Those OSG games against Fulham, Southampton, Man City, and FA Cup matches against Liverpool, Spurs, Blackpool, and away FA Cup games at Liverpool (3-3), Newcastle 1957 and Sheff Wed stand out for me, they make me happy to have attended all of those games, really entertaining times, but enjoyment is not there these days.

Bloody hell Barrie, 9-0 9-1, not far off for an 82 year old for a game 70 years ago ha ha!

FAQ now up on the official website.

I’m interested to know where the money will go once raised. Hilton has mentioned about developing the land around the ground, but even some vague plans would be nice and maybe encourage others to invest.

Think I will invest Once a copy of the lease is released and Coolsilk are completely out of the equation

One question which must be a FAQ still remains unanswered as far as I can see.
Who currently owns the ground and land?

Lots of weird thinking on this from a lot of posters, if coolsilk do still own the ground people don’t want to know, and yet the same people no doubt wanted someone else ie Hilton to buy it! Why was it alright for someone else to buy but not themselves? People don’t want much do they, surely the only thing that mattered was Swanny sold it and even now if coolsilk do still own it here’s an opportunity for no one but everyone to own it that’s got to be ok surely.

Cool silk do still own it until the deal is complete.
What happens if half of the shares are not sold? Surely SUFC would control the new business as majority shareholder?

surely no one would be daft enough to pay nearly 2k out for the share until the ground is no longer in the Coolsilk name .. its a fact i wont.

Nothing weird about people’s thinking awaywego. It’s a considerable sum of money far the majority of supporters. Whilst Coolsilk still own it, that may present more risks.

If less than 50% of the shares are taken up, leaving Coolsilk as the majority shareholder, then there is the potential for problems. If Mr Hilton is prepared to purchase initially unsold shares until they are sold then I would think fans are more likely to part with their money.

Is it still everyone’s opinion then that Swanny (coolsilk) still intends to sell the ground and land for development specially now he got some mug to buy the football club off him without a ground, what an astute business man he is.

Listening to Mr Hilton it seems he and Swan did as part of the club purchase sign a legally binding contract for both Hilts to buy and Swan to sell the Ground and land as part of the deal ..in the recent interview Hilton confirmed the deal for the club was done quickly incorporating an GP/land agreement signed also knowing this would take time to sort out .. Hilton also said it was imperative to get the club and playing side sorted out ASAP in an attempt to stay in the NL this season… ALL SOUNDS COSHA TO ME .. but i wont be parting with my 1899 until its sorted signed sealed n delivered and the septic puss filled carbuncle Swan is gone , which according to Mr Hilton is within days / weeks ..

I hope the slow sale of shares doesnt mean the Swan sewage smell will linger and trust Hilton is a more astute businessman to allow hinself to be ripped a new arse…time will tell.

I doubt that’s ñot many’s opinion, and particularly not ‘everyone’s’. It’s one thing some supporters having legitimate caution due potential risks while Coolsilk still own it, quite another speculating that Swànn is intending to sell the land for development, even more so at this stage of proceedings. You’re putting 2 and 2 together and making 5.

Well that figures, I hear Awaywego got a D minus at school in maths.

Hilton had stated numerous times he has bought the lot but it will take abit longer to tie up that side of things due to legalities.

Can people just not be arsed to read anything and run off with their own narrative ?

Because “the lot” has never been itemised as far as I know. Very simple to say that Coolsilk no longer has any connection whatsoever to Scunthorpe United and any of its former assets and clear things up. Sorry for being a cynic,

I agree with that we need to know which companies own what part of club/ground. Hilton has alluded that the land is not in the clubs name and I would expect that to be clarified.

I Was referencing the point above about Swann selling the club and not the land.

No Deerey just being facetious. Next we’ll have some saying there not going to buy a share till 949 shares have been sold just to be sure that no one man or company don’t hold a controlling interest, but then again that one man or company might buy a share or shares before it gets to 949 to stich them up? Please tell me I’m the only one over thinking things. Lol.

It wouldn’t surprise me if someone said that tbh, but I’d wager most supporters aren’t that paranoid!

If it ends up with shares unsold, perhaps the energy companies will buy some on our behalf, given how much they’re fleecing us!

If a power company bought all of it land and all, they would knock down GP and build a bloody great solar park on it. Bills would still be high though.
