Enough is enough Scunthorpe United – Official Site
Everybody, not just Bruers, needs to read, digest and try and make sure those responsible (those that know who they are) realise the possible results of such actions. All the good work undone by a few wannabes is not what the club needs.

August 16, 2024 at 6:42 pm #289550The person who threw the beer was enjoying the game and behaving himself throughout. The goalkeeper came behind the net to gather the ball, and in that moment, the fan threw beer all over him. There was no bad behavior before or after the incident. I did notice that the fan appeared to be handcuffed by our police officers as he was escorted out of the ground—assuming it’s the same incident, but who knows?
The Brackley goalkeeper just got on with it, though he had every right to kick up a fuss and report it to the stewards, referee, police, etc. He deserves a lot of credit for simply continuing with the game. No player or official should have to put up with that under any circumstances.
I’d be interested to know the outcome or repercussions for the individual involved, as well as other people’s views on the matter. It was literally one split second of stupidity from someone who appeared to be having a great day and behaving well, just like the majority of the fans in the ground. It’s such a shame that the club may have to pay the price for this, especially since there really wasn’t anything they could have done to prevent it.

August 16, 2024 at 7:38 pm #289552Would seem like it was dealt with at the time in the correct manner as it should be. Nice dodge by the club not even mentioning Whitehalls antics with the goalie’s water bottles and how they’ve told him not to do it any more (not).
However much we all want it to stop it won’t and that’s not just at our club it’s football in general it’s always happened and all ways will, opposing player scores in front of the Dre gives it large will tend to get large back at least we don’t see Izal bog rolls thrown any more like back in the day.
Hope the club have took notice and do not allow people to stand against the wall and congregate along the front walkway that’s something the club can do at least at home.August 16, 2024 at 9:11 pm #289555However much we all want it to stop it won’t and that’s not just at our club it’s football in general it’s always happened and all ways will
I’m sorry, but throwing a pint over an opposing player is taking it too far. It will be the same stupid stone island wannabee hooligans. The same group of pillocks which look to range from late teens to early 20’s are the one’s that have been doing it for a while. The same absolute spanners kept throwing flares on the pitch in the national league season.
If that group of idiots were permanently banned all the crap would stop.
August 17, 2024 at 9:57 am #289560Sorry but you forgot to put the rest of the post up WG, i didn’t and don’t condone those actions.
Permanently banned them hey, what like the Scunny player who’ll probably playing today who got a 2 year prison sentence and 6 year banning order from all football grounds.
Michelle and need to look at themselves and what are they doing signing someone like that, not like we had to, what kind of example is that sending out to everyone, double standards imo.
And still nothing on Whitehall from the club saying they’ve told him to stop his bottle and towel antic’s which surely encourage others to follow suit.
Club Statement should read do as we say not as we do.August 18, 2024 at 3:23 pm #289620I would watch Whitehall pissing around with water bottles, but I wouldn’t dream of drenching a rival player with a pint of beer, In my opinion you’re part of the problem.

August 18, 2024 at 4:02 pm #289623Don’t think Whitehall messing around with the opposition keepers drinks bottle is going to get the club heavily fined or maybe points deducted, however serious crowd trouble from our younger element against Chester supporters may well do,stupid comparison from the usual suspect.
August 18, 2024 at 6:48 pm #289632Well i never you fail to address the club signing a moron, spanner hooligan whatever you want to call him. What kind of example does that send out to the young uns.
The club has 2 faces and it’s not a good look.
It goes without saying I don’t mind him being here lol.August 18, 2024 at 7:36 pm #289633Turns out he’s a pretty good player so we’ll turn a blind eye like we did with Sparrow. Presumably his ban only counts as a spectator ?
Anyway he’s taken his medicine and is entitled to now get on with his life.August 18, 2024 at 8:08 pm #289635Could he cost the club a sanction that could affect our long term future? guess we will have to wait and see on both outcomes regarding the misbehaving fans and his past.
August 19, 2024 at 10:27 am #289659Yes TJO we should have signed Ched Evans when we had chance he didn’t even commit a crime, don’t know what all the fuss was about.
August 19, 2024 at 12:24 pm #289668Should have signed Chet Atkins in his prime, not much of a footballer but the half time entertainment would have been fantastic.
August 19, 2024 at 1:58 pm #289675Awaywego is purely strolling as he/it is in 90% of their posts.
August 19, 2024 at 2:48 pm #289678Do you mean trolling? Though others often think ‘stroll on’ reading his posts I’d wager.
August 19, 2024 at 3:46 pm #289685Typo there, yes I obviously meant to type Trolling. Awaywego is purely a wind up merchant and are not very good at hiding it either.

We couldn’t afford him or we probably would !
