Sad to hear . My lasting memory of Ian was when he slid in at the back post (at the railway end) to make it 2-0 in the famous play-off match against Crewe.R.I.P.

Very sorry to have read this, my condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

Ian wore the Iron shirt with pride and you could never question his commitment and he was missed when he eventually moved on.
    RIP ‘Hammo’.

Such a shame at that age, one of our classiest players in the nineties and really stood out as the best player we had at that time. I believe we sold him to West Brom without him even knowing about it and Bill Green said, “great eh, we narrowly lose a play off final and they sell my best player”, Bill was not impressed and quite right too, RIP Ian, top player.
