Paul Hurst could potentially be the first manager ever to get two teams relegated from the football league.
And the quiz question would be …. Who relegated the same team twice from the Football league.
Wikipedia has no record of this hero being born in Scunthorpe!
Almost paid £2 to Wikipedia!
No hard feelings Mr Hurst do your best for our near neighbours.

January 24, 2021 at 8:12 pm #201663He could if he’d taken them down before, but he hasn’t.

Happy to be corrected.
He has only taken the Cods down once.
God bless this hero.
Give him the freedom of the Borough of Scunthorpe.
April 27, 2021 at 9:28 pm #205640But he’s a much better manager than Cox.At least the cod’s score goals and don’t let in 16 goals in five matches

April 27, 2021 at 9:45 pm #205644At least he wasn’t a “yes man”!

April 27, 2021 at 10:47 pm #205666I can only thank god that Grimsby didn’t appoint him sooner else it would be us going down! I’am not a bitter scunny fan and hope they come straight back, I know we are not mathematically safe so not saying to much just yet
April 27, 2021 at 10:50 pm #205667Think he is the first manager to be promoted from and then relegated to the national league! Although Holloway is to blame for this relegation.

…..and Fenty, double relegation into non league on his ownership watch, not too clever really.
April 27, 2021 at 10:54 pm #205671Wasn’t it Russell slade that was in charge the first time they got relegated.

Thought it was Neil Woods, the home grown boy, now there’s a thing, Neil Cox, home grown boy!!!! Let’s not go there.

April 27, 2021 at 11:34 pm #205677Say what you like about Hurst, but I would certainly frefer him to this Clown that we have right now, the difference being that ASwann could not control Hurst like he wanted, but with this clown 0f a yes man, it suit’s him down to the ground, or should I now say “his ground”.
Looking back over the season, from 29th Sep we had an EIGHT GAME RUN OF ALL LOSSES.
Now to end the season, WE HAVE HAD A FIVE GAME RUN OF ALL LOSSES.
That is a total of 13 losses in two runs, scoring 8 goals and conseeding 40, and we still have him in charge of our team, I think that we are well overdue a reason why he is still employed??????2 users thanked author for this post.
April 28, 2021 at 12:19 am #205682We wouldn’t be in this mess with Hurst in charge, that I am certain of.
The codheads should be used as a shining example of what years of mismanagement, egocentric decisions, and a lack of investment in the right areas can do to a football club.

Because he does as he’s told.

April 28, 2021 at 11:39 am #205722Probably cheap as chips too…let’s not forget he was just a non-league assistant manager prior to this season!
