In the Club Statement by Mr Turnbull it mentions the police and protesting fans getting a knock on the door.
This was a peaceful demonstration and not football related violence.
In my opinion I don’t think Humberside Police should allow themselves to be dragged into this by Swann and Turnbull.
The Police should not become puppets of Swann and Turnbull.
Before I get slated and people say they should not have been in the pitch just stop and think why they were there !

Have the police got the resources to investigate?
Would the CPS prosecute and take anyone to court?
Would it be deemed to be a productive use of resources and time?
    Or, a waste of money?

Well the EGO uses solicitors letters like confetti so if they can use someone else to do their dirty work do not put it past them.

What will they do anyway, issue banning orders for fans gathering in the centre circle for about 8 minutes protesting about their club going down the pan, then quietly leaving to allow the match to resume to its conclusion? Bit different to the Oldham situation then and what happens if 500 fans do it the same next home game, ban them? Fine, so last game of the season there will be 1200 fans attending, brilliant, well thought out Turnbull, fill your f**** ng boots. Idiot.

It would be a total waste of money and time, it would also damage the club if by some miracle it lives on – can it afford to lose 150 supporters? That’s just the ones on the pitch i imagine many others will fuck it off if these lads get prosecuted.

That said the police won’t investigate burglaries although usually have plenty resources to waste on persecuting football fans.

It could depend on whether HP needs to get their arrest stats up, they’ll be easier to catch than real criminals. Arrest – Caution – Tick.

Unfortunately, our wonderful government has now made pitch encroachment a criminal offence – a ridiculous over-reach of the law. So the police may well be investigating regardless of the club’s views. And as we’ve seen in the past, football fans are an easy target for the police & courts.

Yep this government loves going after the little people but when the little people’s houses get burgled or their cars stolen, they couldn’t give a toss. Mind you seems the police are into rape big time after today’s latest disgusting revelations, absolutely tragic the way this country is going.

Do you even think before you post?

1 copper out of 45,000 Met staff is a rapist and you condemn the lot of them.

Would you condemn the whole of Banbury (pop circa 45,000) if 1 person there is found guilty of rape? Thought not.

Making out the entirety of the Met is into rape is a bit much, but acting like there isn’t a cultural issue given this and what this stemmed from is underplaying the situation by quite a bit.

Probably the wrong forum but the Met recruitment procedure is terribly flawed, even their own boss says so and has stated he could sack plenty of his current staff if a proper probe was launched. Let’s not forget the poor girl arrested under COVID laws on the streets of London not long ago, driven to a wood, raped, murdered and buried in the wood by a serving Met officer. Now this low life surfaces and warnings were ignored five times in his employment regarding abuse of women. No not every officer is a rapist and I apologise if that was my inference but the crap culture of abuse and racism running through its ranks means the police have been losing respect for years and with good reason. They say themselves they are badly in need of reform so pull your head out of the sand III and I won’t take lectures from you, a Swann apologist.

Back on topic, says in the piece below that Oldham fans faced stadium bans and being reported to the police. Don’t know what became of that though, if anything. I’ll enquire with a Latic I know.

Oldham banned 3 fans for promoting the dislike of the club, also banned all non season ticket holders for 2 games, Oldham fans encouraged fans not to attend at one time but gave up after crowds increased. LoL.

I am not, and never have been a Swann apologist.

Let’s face it police won’t be interested in a protest and a peaceful one at that sure there more than happy they didn’t have to commit recourses to it, any solicitor should find it easy to defend anyone if arrested, the protest was advertised way before the event on numerous platforms the club knew where and when within a few minutes brought extra steward’s in and had them line up from half time, no violence took place no attempt to get at the away fans hard to know what the offence would be, illegal to enter the field of play, against just stop oil or extinction rebellion protests ours come nothing near, next time it will probably be different Turnbull will have to pay the police to attend if he wants to stop the protest from happening.

East Stand, nobody stormed a wall to get on the pitch from there, were you in the DRE on Saturday and witnessed it then, I’m guessing you were?

I was there i never saw it, don’t get me wrong I’m not saying the stewards opened the gate and invited the fans through there was pushing and shoving but I saw no punches thrown, if there was then the culprits have something to answer but not the great majority.

Punches raining down is over egging the pudding a bit, that said any violence is too much. From what I saw the stewards started the shoving which then escalated.
