We will go down without signing a centre back. Probably need 2 in all honesty.

We will go down with signing a keeper- calling for foster as a replacement is ridiculous.

We need a set formation, and stick to it. It’s the national league FFS and we have players out of position every week. If they aren’t good enough do what every other side does and go 4-4-2.

Our youngsters won’t get us out of this mess- none have been good enough.

In a normally run club the youth team coach who has barely brought a single decent player through in the entire decade or so he has been here wouldn’t be put in the first team management role, he would have been binned a long time go. As soon as the new owners come in they need to get rid of every single person involved in the football aspect of the club.

Interesting that, several months on, the youngsters that Hill used to “try” and keep us in the league are not exactly outstanding when playing several levels lower.
    Anybody NOT see that coming?

Sorry for the fans who have spent their money watching a team who could not muster a shot in anger in the second half.embarrassing, players should be ashamed.Daws although pushed into the job isn’t up to it. New manager and coaching staff required,I know it won’t happen, but can hope

None of our youngsters blotted their copybook today. Gallimore looks much stronger than last year. Wilson showed skill and enterprise. Even Poulter put himself about when he came on.

That said there was not much evidence of a system or a game plan. This has to be down to management and coaching. So I would tend to agree that we need a complete clear out in this department.

We’ve always known we were a CB light (although Ntlhe did okay today) and we desperately need a commanding and experienced keeper.

So, yes. But nothing we didn’t know already.

Course we aren’t interviewing candidates, Daws is cheaper and that’s all that counts till the final housing estate blueprints are drawn up.

Well, today must rank as the worst in the clubs history, knocked out of the FA Cup by a team that plays in the third league in the non-league tree, and played without any effort or basic system what so ever. The club has a squad of wage thieves, who cannot even bother to put up any fight. It is run by a management team with the temp manager that has run the youth team for possibly over ten years without producing any players that have devoloped into league standard, the long time coach in Mussa, that has also been coaching the team for years, but being an ex keeper, we always appear to have a very poor keeper in the team, the club owner has no interest in the club, apart from hanging about for the club to go bust so his company can take the clubs land and assets.

Although todays game was described by attending fans as being pathetic, it was even worse listening to it on RH where the expert commentator was none other than Cox, the ex-manager that had less knowledge than the present cluless and aimless crew, ever other word from Cox was “really – really, he must have said it over 200 times during the 90 mins, yes he was introduced as being the “expert summeriser”, which was a “really-really” bad description of him.

We barely have a team and two subs. When injuries, suspensions etc take their pound of flesh – of course we aren’t going to be able to compete. No Butterfield, no Apter – oh, dear.
Where CBs are concerned, we are nearly running on empty. Breaking up of play in midfield is largely absent from games when we do have ‘a full team’ on the pitch.
There are question marks over the GK.
Apter will leave in a couple of months. We are still paying Marsh’s wages, presumably. Hallam remains on the sidelines – as ever.
Gotta say that beating SS always looked a longshot.

BS – “..and played without any effort or basic system what so ever.”

The effort was there but you are right about having no discernible system, hence the back four + keeper were the only ones with time on the ball.

Kgosi Ntlhe was having a right go at the guys in front of him, so at least he cared.

Was there with two “neutral” mates and both agreed Iron were the better footballers, but not the best team.

Unless we can magic up a modern day Clough & Taylor will continue to struggle.

When we were a league club we lost to many a non league team,so what has changed? Nothing. We still lose to teams lower in the pyramid than us but we’re not the only ones. The thing that has changed is that we sometimes beat teams higher up the pyramid than us. I can’t see that happening again for a while or if ever. Thanks Swann and co.

Though a small point in our struggle’s BS comments on the goalkeeping coach was well aired on the train going up, he’s improved no one and appears to be making Dewhurst poorer, at one time we had three goalkeeping coaches at the same time, why is he still here?.
