KING’S LYNN Town boss Adam Lakeland reckons he’s getting free-scoring Jonny Margetts at the peak of his powers. The 30-year-old former Tranmere Rovers and Lincoln City striker has completed a switch to the Linnets from Matlock Town after having scored an incredible 136 goals in 139 games over the last four seasons.
Great stats!
Don’t think he got much of a chance when he was with us. Good luck to him and he could dent some other teams chances.
Maybe next season when the playing budget is at a more sensible level we will attract players like him. We’ll be fishing in a different pond to the one Hilton dangled his fantasy fishing rod into.
Wasn’t he injured for much of the time he was with us? An early Jordan Hallam.
Im sure next season we will have an average crowd of at least 3000 that should enable us to have a budget to be far and above anyone in NLN, a top seven in the National league and bottom 6 in the Efl league 2, don’t see a problem.

Yes, part time football seems to suit him better as he was a goal machine at Stamford
