Stockport bound
January 31, 2022 at 3:23 pm #230988One of the rare positives to take from this season and that really is saying something as NL/bottom end of L2 probably is about his level. Wish him all the best, sounds like a good move for him.

January 31, 2022 at 3:25 pm #230989Earlier in the season this would have raised a cheer in our house. Since Hill arrived he has been arguably our best outfield player.
Difficult to believe when the likes of Green and Turan are still here. Of course its very unlikely anyone in the top 6 tiers would take them so perhaps we have to get rid of 1 or 2 that we would rather keep to make some space.

January 31, 2022 at 3:25 pm #230990Any updates with regards incomings SST? Guess this now opens a spot for Nuttall?
January 31, 2022 at 3:28 pm #230991Hope, green, hallam and kdt have contracts mutually terminated like kenyon

January 31, 2022 at 3:34 pm #230993Not paying up KDT is an absolute joke as his contract ends soon and he’ll be on peanuts anyway. Unbelievable this by Swann ?
Just when I thought he possibly couldn’t get any worse. I hope he pulls his fingers out and does something as Hill has been working his arse off and we have played lined up ready to come in.

January 31, 2022 at 3:37 pm #230996Not sure with this embargo if payin up contracts is an option. Think if they mutually terminate they get nothing at all. Im totally guessing on that but why embargo is a millstone round the neck
January 31, 2022 at 3:40 pm #230997Gutted that Hippo is the one leaving with some of the players we still have on the books – he’s actually looked like one of the better players Hill inherited.

Embargo effects players coming in in terms of squad numbers and how many you’re allowed to register, it has absolutely no baring whatsoever in his you deal with your own players in terms of getting them out the door.
We paid Kenyon up.
Absolutely no excuse.
We need a CB, we only have 2 in the fecking building.

January 31, 2022 at 3:53 pm #231002Sorry to see him go as he’d made real progress under Hill, wish the lad all the best.

January 31, 2022 at 4:03 pm #231004He was very poor to start with now he’s just poor thanks to Keith. When he is on the ball he never once looks round for options – very limited player who will be a good reserve for Stockport.
January 31, 2022 at 5:44 pm #231008Just had a look at their forum and their fans don’t look impressed.
January 31, 2022 at 5:52 pm #231009Bit harsh, just because he missed a penalty!
January 31, 2022 at 5:56 pm #231010Maybe their fans aren’t aware that most players flourish after leaving us?
January 31, 2022 at 6:13 pm #231011I think he has improved enough recently to be a decent player for Stockport County.
The posters on their message board are as miserable as you lot on here. 👎
January 31, 2022 at 6:13 pm #231012Ditto

What do you expect ?, we’re about 4 or 5 players short with only Nuttall supposed to be coming in despite Hill having them lined up ready.
Sorry for not being overly joyful.

January 31, 2022 at 6:36 pm #231015So that’s Loft, Scrimshaw and Hippo gone. Get rid of Beeston and send Burns back and that should reduce any chance of scoring a goal from slim to none.

January 31, 2022 at 6:44 pm #231016It’s a complete and utter piss take. Also it’s been stated on twitter that the embargo has absolutely no baring on paying contracts up so it’s a case of not only will Swann not pay the loan off, he seemingly won’t even pay contracts up.

January 31, 2022 at 6:57 pm #231017Well he paid Kenyon off and, if he had any sort of relationship with us supporters, we’d have had a whip round for the few hundred quid needed to pay up KDT.
January 31, 2022 at 7:00 pm #231019Big Bad Turan’s contract is up in September anyway. I can’t understand why we’d pay Kenyon up and not pay off KDT and say Green e.g as his contract is up come the end of the season.
I don’t understand what’s going off down at GP.

January 31, 2022 at 7:03 pm #231020Hippo gone
January 31, 2022 at 7:05 pm #231021Scunthorpe United top goalscorers so far this season:
Hippolyte – 4
Loft – 4
Scrimshaw – 3
Davis – 2All gone this transfer window. 7 goals have been scored this season by the entire squad that’s left on our books. We’re down regardless of the likes of KD bloody T being paid up!
January 31, 2022 at 7:15 pm #231022Hippo must be one of the few players who gets to drop down a division, out of the league as well, but feel like he’s won the pools.
Top scorers in the building are now Burns and Jarvis with 2 apiece.
Top assist provider left is Beestin I think with 1.
You couldn’t make it up really.

January 31, 2022 at 7:15 pm #231023Certainly the biggest improver under Hill and has been one of the few to show glimpses of quality.
Not overly disappointed he’s gone, but expected a few more to be shown the door first.

January 31, 2022 at 7:16 pm #231024I’d have happily chipped in to pay off KDT’s contract, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

January 31, 2022 at 7:19 pm #231025Can’t beat a bag of scraps!!
Oh you can unfortunately nobody wants to come to Scunny anymore.
We used to be the enviable team that could propel a stagnant career.

Long gone are those days. You couldn’t be further from the truth. Hill has players already lined up on agree deals but with Swann seemingly not paying contracts up to get players out, we have to rely on other clubs coming in and doing quick deals.
This would be solved if Swann moved much earlier and paid the contracts up. KDT and Green for instance could easily have been paid up as they’re contracts are soon to run out.
What role has Hallam been playing ?
All 3 could and should have been paid up.

January 31, 2022 at 7:45 pm #231030Really flourished this season and looked our only League standard midfielder. Why have we given him away to Stockport?
