Fans would be forgiven for having zero trust in the word of any chairman, ever, at Glanford Park (you might know it as the Sands Venue Stadium) ever again.

I would have been prepared to support the weird Ilkeston-training-move because I think Hilton’s earned a bit of latitude.

BUT great to see a chairman actually listing to fans!!!!

A big well done to fan power especially the trust for there statement, Deerey,Ifa, Cass and others, Big thanks to Hilton for not having a big ego and being prepared to listen to concerns, didn’t see the problem myself but am ,more than happy with the outcome. Now can we let him get on with the task in hand it won’t be easy with many hard decisions to make, Ps hope our manager will drop his ego and change or it will be the undoing of him as well, happy enough with the free hit he’s had this season expectations will be higher next season.

When at first it was suggested to move to ilkeston for training i thought ok as a short term measure, but the more I thought about it,some ground staff are having to be there alot of the time plus what about players visiting schools ,hospital visits, community training days, they would not like coming over from ilkeston after training,so it does make more sense to carry on the traing at glanford Park as ground staff being there anyway plus it keeps it more of a community feel as it should. UTI.

Just listened to the start of the podcast interview Hilton’s well pissed off with the fans, more or less said he wouldn’t buy it again given the chance again, can’t see him being here much longer, hope he refuses to pay Swanny for the ground and tries and sell the club on. It’s what scunny fans deserve in the main (well those on social media at least) Ps I’ll take my thanks back, well at least till I’ve listened to the full interview.

This new u-turn is very welcome IMO (naff all to do with me awaywego though I suspect the statement by the Trust and the latest Bru podcast have made a difference).

Hopefully now the clowns accusing Hilton of wanting to move the club Ilkeston or play home games at Ilkeston (neither of which was mentioned or hinted at by Mr Hilton) will crawl back under their stones.

He wanted to try something different re the training of our players, but it was a step too far and rightly or wrongly, the move led to much mistrust from us fans. So much to consider here, and I personally was against the lads training in Ilkeston. But whatever his true motives were, we cannot blame him for being pissed off.

I have to admit that I don’t know where in Scunthorpe the lads actually train. But have to assume that the facilities are substandard. So thanks for trying to find an alternative Mr Chairman, sorry but taking any aspect of The Iron out of North East Lincolnshire is unacceptable to us as fans of the club. And now you know!

Enjoyed the interview above to a point but as usual no difficult questions asked. What the hell was Brad playing at? He never asks the difficult questions and always sucks up to the owner it was the same with swann!! Unbelievable!! I saw some interesting question on social media about how Hilton made his millions, pensions not been paid to pension company, what was his involvement with the telemarketing company Britannia law and these three boys prefer to ask about kit for next season and tell him how good he is and Simon wouldnt have invested same in the team if he bought the club!! Come on guy you are in privileged position interviewing him you have to ask the question for all not just what you want so you can be pally with him like you were with Swann!!

Ummm, the interview wasn’t conducted by the Iron Bru podcast, so it wasn’t Brad involved here. This was with the Iron Army podcast, which didn’t exist under Swann’s tenure.

Jimmy is delighted by the fans support and Hilton should be too. I guess his dissatisfaction stems from there not being 1899 £1899s forthcoming.

Is the video coming? I want to see the whites of his eyes and his body language. There was a lot of pausing, stuttering and gulping.

Really Cass the first 2 minutes he was so pissed off, the pauses the pauses had to chose is words so carefully so obviously wanted to say no I wouldn’t buy the club again because of the negativity that he didn’t expect but managed not to buy really thinking about it and taking time. Course he’s delighted by the fans support who wouldn’t be he’s just not happy with the negativity and false stories when he’s putting the money in and others aren’t and who wouldn’t be.

Seemed okay all in all .
    In summary :
-If you want an academy he wont be funding it
    – He will only invest up to a level of sustainability (so doesnt want to put money in after that i am assuming )
If thats the case will Scunthorpd utd fans be happy with what at best will be NL ?

No way now you can even get out of the national league without substantial investment .

I’m glad that day to day football activity will not be at Ilkeston. I hope that some sort of academy will continue, it certainly sounds like Mr H is prepared to try and facilitate it. I still don’t fully get what is going on, it all seems to be on the hoof but hopefully the situation with Glanford Park will be resolved by the end of May.

    Disappointed it wasn’t a video.
Body language is like lip reading.
We’d have an even better understanding of where we are if we had a ‘talkie movie’
