Adam Lakeland admits he is tempted to change things as he attempts to get King’s Lynn Town back on track after two defeats in the space of three days.
The weekend defeat at Chorley was followed by a nasty surprise when Lynn went down 2-0 at home to struggling Farsley Celtic.
But Lynn head to South Shields this weekend knowing that another slip-up could prove costly.
Lakeland was frustrated by the midweek defeat and after the game suggested that, fit bodies permitting, he might be looking at alternative plans.
“I am after that,” he said. “Sometimes people need to come out of the team to just get a little gentle kick on the backside just to remind them that we expect a lot.
Midfield’s a big concern, and I think it showed tonight.”

    Worth thinking about?

We’ll be saying ‘some of these need a kick up the bum that’s why I’ll be playing the exact same formation.

Midfield was a concern tonight so I’m going to ensure the same people that are easily outmuscled continue

All he has to do even in this crap formation is play Beestin alongside Brogan to ensure we’re not easily bullied. That’s at least a start. Even better he could do a 4/4/3 with carlton playing as a wide attacking player where he played last season, but Butler still sounds to me like he’s not going to drop this 5 at the back.

Butler comes across as stubborn to say the least !

A formation that would certainly confuse the opposition and help us win more games you’d think.

Well Fitz does try and get upfield at times to make a 3 but Mussie never lets him, was looking against Radcliffe in the last minute for the 2 throw ins.

Typo from me there. I obviously meant 4/3/3.

Butler could change it if he wanted to, but is hell bent on his fav formation.

If he did at least he tried. Just the one change then, I hope it’s not deliberate but does a player lose his edge if he’s certain he’ll be picked for the next game?
