Hllton and Swann ,sorting the financial damage they did will cause us difficulties on the pitch for a few seasons yet. It’s unfair to judge a manager now when you consider the crap he inherited, players lost, and restraints he still has.
Hell be sacked ,we’ll owe him and his staff money .The next guy wlll come in and be sacked within two years. The cycle of failure will then continue. We need to break that cycle and the idea we’re an unsettled sacking club1 user thanked author for this post.
December 22, 2024 at 4:33 pm #295930Why did Michelle lie to us then saying we must achieve promotion this season, cos what we’re seeing you must admit looks highly unlikely.
I judge the manager from what I watch on the pitch and gave my reasons after ten games on the “Butler out thread” failure to get promotion last season was enough reason to get rid of Dean and though his approach was slow and boring we dominated 99% of the teams we played when was the last time we dominated a team.

December 22, 2024 at 4:44 pm #295935we got rid if dean because he asked for too much budget ,he was kept on after failing.
Why is Michelle lying? the season isn’t over.December 22, 2024 at 6:17 pm #295953It isn’t good enough. Just listened to their managers post match interview, taking the away point and clean sheet but disappointed not to win, pointing out Fitzsimons man of the match award.
Talked about being part time – says 2 of their players have been out working for Amazon delivering presents and they won’t train again as a team between now and 4th of January.Humbling to say the least. Staggering that Butler can’t get a tune out of our squad of players.

Crap he inherited? You mean a team that finished second, playing the best football in the league and in most other years would have won automatic promotion?
Players he lost? From regular starters he lost two; Ogle and Butterfield. Both of whom you said were easily replaced and wouldn’t be missed?
Restraints he still has? You mean (per Michelle) the biggest budget in the league?
We’ve the best keeper in league in Fitz, the best footballer in the league in Roberts, a squad of full time pros that most NLN managers look at with envy, the best facilities, the biggest fanbase and as TJO pointed out, we’re up against part time lads who are spending their days delivering for Amazon amidst the Xmas rush? Even a poor-average manager at this level could get a tune out of our squad.
Give it to Muzzy. What is there to lose, we surely can’t get much worse?
December 22, 2024 at 6:27 pm #295955I remember many being bored rigid by Jimmyball after Christmas time last season.

Don’t disagree Sidey, Jan – March wasn’t great but over the course of the season was balanced by the 4 5 and 6 goal victories and largely at home we played well. If you were bored rigid by Jimmy-ball you must be a frozen corpse after watching Butler-ball.
December 22, 2024 at 6:40 pm #295957I am, but I will say that flowing football is a rarity at this level. My biggest gripe at the moment is that we don’t seem to have any kind of successful game plan, as seen with Whitehall the attacking midfielder and Beck the target man by his lonesome. If we were to get a manager playing to our best, I would not be expecting free flowing footy at this level.
