What’s the point in him giving pre-match interviews? He’d get a barrage of flak regardless of whatever he said. May aswell save himself the hassle and and time.
December 21, 2024 at 12:35 pm #295800It’s part of his job. Update on injuries, etc. unless you hadn’t noticed he’s the manager ! Using your “ reasoning” you could say what’s the point in him turning up at all !

December 21, 2024 at 2:09 pm #295801No Roberts today – could be a big blow ? Time will tell. UTI
December 21, 2024 at 2:19 pm #295804Roberts and Denton out .. no place for either Law or Williams who could have dropped in as Roberts replacement.
December 21, 2024 at 5:00 pm #295814Sick of butler ball, keeper man of the match says everything you need to know. Fitzsimmons and roberts have saved scunny, without them we would be relegation fodder using butler tactics. Its also worth noting not one of his signings has been any good. He has brought in 3 strikers and between them not one of them has scored a goal. The guy has no idea and nobody wants to watch his style of football. Its time he left!!!

December 21, 2024 at 5:03 pm #295815December 21, 2024 at 5:09 pm #295817Not brilliant at all, no threat up front, but it was at least looking like we were more likely to score for the final 30 minutes when Beestin came on and strengthened the midfield.
Whitehall seemed to be strolling without a care, again, but the other forwards haven’t scored and that’s a worry. Beck is a bit of a carthorse.
December 21, 2024 at 5:16 pm #295818Will the interview be before 6pm and will he answer any questions? Will the aussie commentator ask any tricky questions. As ironfromafar says will be same old same old. Our manager doesn’t have an idea of how he wants the team to play, we have no regular line up or formation anymore. He has been in charge for half the season and i have no idea of what our style of play is other than a style that is the worst we have ever seen and is to stop the opposition. The biggest club in the league shouldn’t be afraid of every team we play.

6 games – no goals.

December 21, 2024 at 5:25 pm #295821Was Scales worth his place, today?
Brogan to lose his place to Beestin?
Commentary suggested to me that this week’s CBs were better than last week’s.December 21, 2024 at 5:35 pm #295823How poor does Beck have to play to get substituted ?However if you have a player with that height why dont we play with 2 wingers,if we have’nt got them why sign Beck ? Felt sorry for Brogan as,I think, is a good central midfielder NOT a winger

December 21, 2024 at 5:41 pm #295825Butler is trying to keep whitehall and beck happy, playing them together isn’t working, whitehall looks totally lost, and I have yet to see why we have signed beck shows absolutely nothing!
December 21, 2024 at 5:46 pm #295828Why did whitehall play the number 10 role when it failed last time – makes no sense. Beestin could have played that naturally. Without wingers beck is a pointless signing. All of these problems are caused by a manager who doesn’t know what he is doing, the directors need to wake up and quickly see this. My business puts thousands into this club each year and i try to stay off message boards or speak too openly about the club but i have had enough, if butler ball continues am done with sponsorships and done with other things which cost me thousands each year trying to support the club.
December 21, 2024 at 6:04 pm #295835Was just going to say that Random, Whitehall ain’t no number 10 so let’s try it again says Butler and see if it works (it didn’t) and all the time beestin sat on the bench you couldn’t make it up.
Why did the board let Butler spend money on Beck should have saved the money for the next manager to use.
Les asked how Scale’s did, just behind fitz for man of the match imo.
Wonder if Spennymoor has a clause that Harris must start cos Whitehall should be playing there really.

Was worth his place simply for the last ditch tackle near the end that stopped a near certain goal.

December 21, 2024 at 6:51 pm #295848Halftime draw looks well dodgy, all 3 winners within 18 numbers of each other.
Silly me it must be a coincidence,
December 21, 2024 at 7:56 pm #295854Another painfully dull watch. We look like a side without confidence, ideas and no idea what system it’s suppose to be playing. Without the Keeper we could easily be outside the play offs and Andy without a job.
For the budget we have, it’s embarrassing this is the best we can serve up.

December 21, 2024 at 8:53 pm #295863If we’re shite against Hereford… then it’ll be bullshite.
Another must win game.
Don’t analyse them.
Turn up and just give it to them, full throttle for 100 minutes!
Come on Stan, rev the boys up and make it two wins on the bounce!
Let’s have a good Christmas and a great New Year!
UTI.You must be buzzing tonight.
December 22, 2024 at 12:08 am #295871No, sad for the club & the long suffering fans.
December 22, 2024 at 9:06 am #295889It isn’t good enough. Just listened to their managers post match interview, taking the away point and clean sheet but disappointed not to win, pointing out Fitzsimons man of the match award.
Talked about being part time – says 2 of their players have been out working for Amazon delivering presents and they won’t train again as a team between now and 4th of January.INTERVIEW | Paul Caddis after Goalless Draw at Scunthorpe United

December 22, 2024 at 9:43 am #295891get the impression with some fans now that if Butler knocked on their door and gave them £8m they’d be straight online complaining that it wasn’t £16m

December 22, 2024 at 9:53 am #295892I don’t know, I think in that scenario I’d take the £8 million.

That’s AWG. He’d be Claiming the £8m was in fake notes.
December 22, 2024 at 12:39 pm #295903Question everything especially after the halftime draw.
Winners.
22303
22306
22321
Really!
So yes if Butler gives me 8 million I’ll certainly be checking those serial numbers.Open your eyes smell the coffee there’s big issues that need addressing at the club not that I’ve being pointing out mind.
December 22, 2024 at 12:43 pm #295904Dire game of football as has come to be the norm at GP on a Saturday afternoon. The fact that the only positive is a marginal improvement on Alfreton, described by many as the worst game of football ever seen at GP, says it all. As always; hoofball, square pegs round holes (Whitehall as a 10 I ask you?), zero creativity, looking devoid of ideas and Fitz MOM saving us from blushes yet again.
Not sure on the accuracy of the attendance figure reported. Lots of empty seats and little atmosphere. Are season tickets counted even if the holders don’t turn up?
Butler’s ‘we’re not the finished article’ line is worn out. He’s had a full preseason, two cups and were half way through the league games so when do we expect to see the ‘finished article’? The last game of the season when we’re floating around mid table perhaps? We’ve taken a giant leap backwards from last seasons football and have fallen off a cliff results wise from our first 10 games so this analogy of us being a work-in-progress, as though we’re improving each game is more waffle. We still don’t know our best 11, we still don’t have a style of play (unless it’s hoof and hope) and we still don’t know our best formation or how to get a tune out of the best squad in the league. We’re on a downward trajectory under Butler and the board are merely prolonging the agony for supporters and decimating the goodwill they banked, with their silence and inaction.

Bang on 414
The fans goodwill is the only thing tumbling quicker than us down the league, on this form i will be amazed if we are in the playoff places post the festive period fixtures.
I read some fans bemoaning the clubs recent past of sacking managers but what is the alternative as anyone that thinks AB n Scoff are doing a good job must be deluded, sadly i think whilst in around the top 7 places the BovD wont act and get rid they should bite the bullet and pay em off now.
Im also not buying the squad unity BS .. IMO something isnt right and the players must be pissed off having to continue on ABs chosen path as its tantamount to destroying their careers as well as the clubs now slim chances of promotion .. a miracle we dont need just to become the cannon fodder in the NL ALA Boston.BAH HUMBUG

If you’re asking 64 he will probably blame The Smoking Goat and his burgers for our woes.
