Our last two wins both came from a changed formation.
At least AB seems to be finally recognising the need to change things around a bit.
I must admit that I was rather puzzled by the return of Nicholson and playing Denton on the wrong side of the pitch – but we won and must, hopefully, stand a chance against Hereford.
AB making adjustments has encouraged me somewhat.

Even with a dikky leg (torn calf) i have a road trip coming up so a very early early prediction for Saturday.

Sorry but cant see a lot changing and Hereford a mark up from Marine who gave us a decent game and were unlucky …Hereford are on a decent run also.

More puzzling was Butler taking Nicholson off after 75 mins when his long throw should have been coming into its own with us finally trying to get on the front foot.

You could also say once Nicholson stopped playing well the team stopped playing completely.
Southport away for his last assist.

For me subs bench and bring him on if you need to change the game ala Alfreton should have been the same at Marine instead like I said he removed him when we were hopefully going to push on, don’t think anyone will disagree it’s nice to have the long throw in our armory, long throws from other teams have caused us many a problem good as a free kick at times.

Long throw is very useful and with Beck in the side I would suggest we need to use it more often.

I think Nicholson is better in a back 4.

A long throw is better on the field than off it, so put the right peg in the right hole.

Was Denton right back as their left winger cut inside quite a lot? I thought he was a decent player and looked dangerous but then got subbed as I assume he tired. The Marine team looked very young.
