Will she be the first female ref ever to to take charge at a home game for the Iron ?
November 12, 2023 at 4:15 am #276670Retired ref from a higher tier told me that she was seriously poor – an opinion I value.
This was not conveyed at all in the commentary. Not a hint. Why not? Why was I wholly unable to pick this fact up as I listened?
I truly wanted her to succeed but if she didn’t … surely, we must all take the rough with the smooth.November 12, 2023 at 9:04 am #276672All about opinions les, in mine she did ok , maybe your ref friend from a higher tier had an off day, quite a few of them do as MOTD games week in and week out testify.
November 12, 2023 at 9:16 am #276674Noted.
I always value what you have to say about football.November 12, 2023 at 9:17 am #276675More vile misogynistic chants towards her from some in the DRE. Embarrassing.

November 12, 2023 at 9:43 am #276676She missed a few but don’t they all at this level. For me she was one of the better ones we have had to endure this season.

November 12, 2023 at 9:48 am #276677If she was seriously poor where does that put the rest of the dross we’ve seen this season.

November 12, 2023 at 11:13 am #276679Compared to others at this level she was streets ahead in terms of competency. I don’t think she got much wrong at all and no glaring errors, controlled the game well. There was little to nothing to say about the ref which is what you want
November 12, 2023 at 11:37 am #276680I would have given a red for the foul on Scales late on but otherwise agree she got most things right.
Both teams played the game in the right way so not a difficult match to referee.

November 12, 2023 at 1:51 pm #276684Are you sure? Thought the challenge on scales was dangerous and out of control a career ender if I ever saw one, kian was very lucky not to very seriously injured.
Also there was the penalty shout in the first half ignored it then gave a free kick 30 secs later for exactly the same challenge, but agree she did ok and was not the worst be a long way.November 13, 2023 at 7:34 am #276699What I got back:-
‘Absolutely terrible over the ball tackle on Scales half way up his shin straight leg. Ref staring at it from 8 yards.
Worst decision of the season. Not fit to referee.’1 user thanked author for this post.
November 13, 2023 at 8:52 am #276700Pleased she didn’t ref the Buxton game.Wow, the thought of it!

November 13, 2023 at 11:04 am #276712Nowhere near the worst ref we’ve had. The challenge on scales was the glaring mistake, he should have walked for that.
November 13, 2023 at 1:07 pm #276718Someone that was there, Hull fan, reckons it was a yellow not a red card, and she had a decent game. He did mention the strides she took for ten yards at a free kick seemed very long.
November 13, 2023 at 4:28 pm #276729I was as close as could be to the foul, it was a yellow not a red. It looked like a wild challenge but it wasn’t dangerous/career ending. Now there have been numerous elbows to the head of Whitehall this season and nothing done, and in my book a lot of those should’ve been punished with reds. All about opinions but if we had her officiating again I would be OK with that.
