Cox might weil go by Monday, and some on here will be screaming for it. Buy who will replace him, and what will he/she do?
IMHO nothing can be changed until January, and even then there will be no money.
None of this is the managers fault, so if he is the fall guy; remember that he did at leas give a damn!

October 10, 2021 at 9:38 am #215251None of this is the managers fault? who bought these players who picked them for the game who chose the formation? come on he is to blame for the performances. As much as I blame Swann for all the off the pitch problems Cox has to take the blame for what is happening on the pitch.

October 10, 2021 at 10:01 am #215254Yep it’s been a joint f**k up between Swann and Cox, one can’t manage a football club and the other can’t manage a football team. I have backed Cox since he arrived because I believe we have changed managers too often with nothing more then a long term negative on the team being the result but this season is just a complete disaster. If you can’t motivate players and get your tactics right on a regular basis then you have to go, injuries withstanding the manager and his staff haven’t been good enough but the overall culprit is Swann. He won’t leave so Neil will have to, that’s how the chain of command works in life but the Chairman’s handling of all things SUFC is shameful.

October 10, 2021 at 10:05 am #215256If Swann goes and the club goes under – what difference will that be to Swann staying?
Based on that thinking – I prefer to see him depart.Muses. I wonder if Fenty might be available …

October 10, 2021 at 10:13 am #215259October 10, 2021 at 10:24 am #215262It’s sad watching what is happening, even from here. People ask me all the time how The Iron are getting on, they say that the only way is up, but they don’t know how far we have fallen.
Sacking the manager won’t help, partly because we will end up with a shower of shit journey men to chose from. Managers who have tried and failed multiple times. Nobody serious will even want to manage The Iron.
I haven’t the time or patience to work out the average time our managers last, but I bet it ain’t long.
When you are in a hole, stop digging. That is what people say. Yet our chairman is so aloof that he doesn’t believe simple facts of life apply to him. He has been digging for so long that he is going to creat a new fault line.
Like I said, it’s sad.😢

if the club went under Les at least we would enjoy our weekends more
October 10, 2021 at 10:57 am #215264Cox & Lillis sacked Monday morning. McMahon put in as caretaker until Christmas.
Nowt changes and Swann has two contracts to pay off, so less money.
A lose-lose situation!

October 10, 2021 at 11:19 am #215267There is only one person in the whole of Scunthorpe who believes we wont go down and we are playing well enough. There is only one person in Scunthorpe who can do something about our current plight. The problem is it is the same person. If Mr Swann has an ounce of love for this club he will do something about it both now and in January.

I had exactly this argument with a supporter at half time yesterday. He was still adamant we needed Swann in charge as there was no alternative, I thought it was uptheiron at first.
Unless Swann takes a back seat and gets people in who know what they’re doing then we are heading to the conference north, if we are lucky. Crowds will continue to plummet and I made a prediction that we will see sub 2k this year; it could honestly be sub 1,500 if this carries on.
The club is turning toxic and something is going to give soon
We are in a death spiral and something is going to have to give soon.3 users thanked author for this post.
October 10, 2021 at 1:24 pm #215272Can the club afford the redundancy pay ?
They still haven’t got rid of KDT, have they ?
October 10, 2021 at 1:44 pm #215273If the issue with KDT is conflict with Cox, if Cox goes KDT may well return and become our top scorer.
October 10, 2021 at 1:52 pm #215275A manager worse than Wilcox thought I wouldn’t see that in my lifetime.
Are you referring to ‘World Record Wilcox’?
October 10, 2021 at 2:22 pm #215282Hoy stop jumping in BG, it’s normally me that defends Wilcox’s achievements yes a great world record and let’s not forget a promotion, but at the cost of most boring football. If only?
October 10, 2021 at 3:57 pm #215297I fear drawing all of our remaining games and finishing on 42 pts won’t be enough!
