Equaled the england goal scoring record so probably yes. Shame about the second pen they all miss em at some time, very poor ref.

We were always going to go out on a missed penalty!

Ref was very poor but no excuses, you can’t miss a penalty but I guess that’s pressure right at the top of the game. Feel sorry for Harry because he and the team did well tonight particularly second half and both keepers made crucial saves but the French have that winning mentality which saw them through in the end. I’ve enjoyed watching England in this tournament and well done Southgate for sticking to an attacking team again and despite going out tonight it’s a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👏👏👏 from me.

Agree Ironawe we equalized then tried to win the game and that’s all we can ask for, far more positive and it’s a yes from me.

Kane for the most part is a one trick pony and he always goes that side of the goal. A vintage Ronaldo or Messi would have just rolled that in the other corner and kept their head but that’s the difference between Kane and the top, top world elite strikers.

I know it’s a lot of pressure to shoulder but that was dreadful.

I just wish we would go for it from the start – we always seem to wait for 30 minutes or so before we hit fast forward!
But hey ho thats what we are used to – roll on the Euros :)
Watched the Scunny game and thought we were unlucky not to come away with 3 points – stating the obvious but we so need a striker!

It will be interesting to see if Kane gets the same amount of abuse that Rashford and Sako did after the Euros.

Not quite right WG Messi has missed 2 penalties in cup finals and I remember 1 in a semi against Chelsea, like I said they all miss em at times.

England played very well in genmeral, but I thought that a lot of our left hand sise was spoiled by the fact that Shaw passed 95% of passes backwards, which resulted in France getting the defensive cover.
The subs were brought on far too late in the game, and when they were made, two players that have been right out of form in Sterling and Mount came on, and did nothing, the game called for Rachford and Grealish to be brought oin in about the 60 min mark.

But the main reason for our defeat was that arse hole of a ref, that got many things wrong by letting foul after foul go by, and England could easily have had four penalties if he had doing his job properly, and one penalty should have resulted in a red card. Time for Garath sOUTHGATE TO GO.

    Normal service resumed.
60 years of ‘hurt’ when the next WC starts.
    Lightning Seeds love England!
The penny dropped for me after WC2010.
As more and more foreign players permeate the lower leagues – the English gene pool from which to select is reduced.
I’m hoping Morocco win the tournament – to upset the status quo!

We were always going to go out on a missed penalty!

Same to us, almost every tournament again, mostly multiple misses…

i thought it was a pretty even game .. i had a wager on 3-2 to France after extra time and when we got that second pen i thought it was coming home..my winnings i mean .. ref was terrible made way too many bad calls… French deserved their win as took the goals well and for all England playing well also couldnt covert any in play chances.

Its coming home ..the team that is.

One last thing .. anyone think Southgate should / may step down ?? if so who next ?? seems the players ove him n pressing for him to stay , a bit too negative for me and some of his selections and tactics are Hillesk.

I really don’t now who will fill Kane’s shoes when he retires! I now we have some very good young players in Rice ,Bellingham ETC but realistically there is no one capable of scoring 50+ goals at international level.

But it could have been …THE one!
I would have liked someone else to step up and say ‘ You’ve scored one, Harry. He knows you inside out. I’ll take this one’

50 was an example mate, I don’t know any young player either now or up and coming who would be capable of scoring 20 let alone 50, which must be a worry to the England set up
