Currently on trial with us after been plucked from the football wilderness by Conference North outfit York City last season.
Cheap – tick
Experienced at 28 – tick
With Lillis at Huddersfield – tick
In all seriousness, if he is fit I think we could sign worse and certainly did last summer…
Cheap – tick
On current form he’ll have to be cheaper than a hot-cross bun!
Always looked relatively decent when he’s played against us…potentially a decent signing especially as he’ll have something to prove.
Only played 6 times in the last 2 seasons according to Wiki, very worrying if correct.
Wiki not a good source for lower non league it relies on someone being bothered to update it.
Looks like 12 games 3 goals in the league for York last year which isn’t great over a full season but the NL north/south didn’t finish did they? Not sure how many games there were.
York only played 13 before the season was declared void.
No no no no, have we learnt nothing about these types. You’re trying to find positives when non exist. This isn’t a Sharp, Keogh, Hooper pluck. 180 apps in 11 yrs as a pro. Not many goals.
Its just another weak front option.
I have to disagree ironawe. I agree with Matt, if Bunn is fully match fit he’s easily worth a 1yr contract with an option of a further year.
If I remember rightly he can play in all 4 forward positions. Bunn can also play as a normal winger as well so versatility wise he’ll be very useful to have around.
I’d rather he was playing than Hippolyte.
Put it this way, we could do a hell of a lot worse.
Look at Turan and Jarvis !
Matt, have you heard of anybody else been on trial ?. Smudger said we had 2 in with obviously one being Bunn.
Hope you’re right WG but this feels like a well trodden route that seldom works.
Match fit?
His season ended after 13 games.
What’s the likelihood?
I thought he had died in a traffic accident.

The league York was in packed in early due to covid. Hence why he only played 13 games. A york city reported on twitter said when he did play for them he was head and shoulders above that level and if he keeps himself fit would be a great signing for league level.
That’s only his opinion of cause but Bunn’s only 28yrs old so hardly clapped out. I think it would be a tidy acquisition personally.
