Or polite applause and gentle gnashing of teeth as usual when we are 3 or 4 down again? I’m not talking invasion of the pitch i mean a proper barrel of vitriol from the 500 or 600 (not sure how many we are taking). It is time to let the players, management and chairman know how we feel, assuming there is no miracle in Yorkshire and we get anywhere near a positive result. Now is not the time for happy clapping. Enough is enough!

October 4, 2021 at 10:30 am #214704Personally, I would not be having a go at the team, no point in this position. Support the team, sack the board would be my view!

October 4, 2021 at 11:27 am #214719Only sensible option on match day both home and away is a sustained chant of ” Swann Out ” and ” Sack the Board “. When defeats keep coming then Humberside and other media can start asking the management and board on their reaction to the constant negative chanting aimed at them. This must be sustained both home and away for a sustained period and particularly just before kick off, half time and near the end of ninety minutes. Not sure the vocal support is large enough in number to sustain such a campaign but it would be nice if they could and would cause questions to be repeatedly asked and pressure put on the people the fans are looking to remove. Good luck with all that but no violence or object throwing please, that will just play into their hands and distract from what is trying to be achieved.

October 4, 2021 at 11:37 am #214723If the vocal support was loud enough at Carlisle, it will loud enough at Harrogate, what will play into their hands? Throwing of tennis balls at Oldham had an effect. ANd I do know you like a nice flare Ironawe.

Could you try and make sense for once please go on try again.
October 4, 2021 at 1:08 pm #214737To quick for my edit Ironawe.
October 4, 2021 at 1:29 pm #214741Well thanks for your edit Awaywego but if you are advocating the throwing of objects at games as part of the protest against the board currently running our club then I don’t believe you will get much support on here. Any perceived violent and illegal action ( which it is ) will immediately be seized upon by the Swann family and turned against the support in the media to strengthen their hand in any debate about how the club is being run. Any instant gratification you receive ( or probably dick stiffening in your case ) from throwing an object onto the playing surface will be lost in the long run of the argument because you are breaking the law. I know you think you are being funny or clever but for once, grow up, FFS.
October 4, 2021 at 1:42 pm #214744As iron awe stated, just sing Swann out loud and often enough…..believe me, it will sink in. All it will take is a bit of patience.
That needs to be done because after yesterday’s interview he’s somewhat in denial.

October 4, 2021 at 2:10 pm #214749But I am not bothered whether Swann is here or not WG, and he won’t be there anyway if you want to get Swanns attention I would suggest something different to singing, a pitch invasion might be on the cards though if things go tits up,a lot will be heavy in drink so nothing will surprise me, will I protest? Well not in the beginning I will get behind the team and see how it pans out, if I am to protest it will be against our inbred management team, said all along he should be given 2 years but even he is trying my patience now. Ps Ironawe what about throwing paper airplanes like they used to at England games would that get your approval?.
October 4, 2021 at 2:51 pm #214753I don’t approve of anything thrown on the pitch even paper planes, if they are thrown on in volume then the game has to be stopped while they are cleared away, one might even fly into a player or officials eye, it’s just childish it’s against the law and you should not condone such behaviour or make light of it but you will because your still rather childish when discussing the subject of objects being thrown onto a football pitch.
October 4, 2021 at 3:30 pm #214759You sound like Mrs Awaywego, she’s Mrs safety as well. Ps is it illegal to throw paper aeroplanes?.
October 4, 2021 at 3:58 pm #214761awaywegoooo would do well with a sandpit.

has Deirdre thrown your object too much mr snore?
October 4, 2021 at 4:03 pm #214764Won’t make much difference throwing rubbish onto the pitch there’s plenty on there already.

October 4, 2021 at 4:10 pm #214765I’m not advocating anything to do with throwing items or pitch invading. I want a strong vocal presence to let them know enough is enough both on and off the pitch. It might make no difference at all, but surely we are at the stage where something has to give? We can’t keep clapping them off if we are as rubbish as we have been lately.

Topics: 11Why don’t you raid your piggy banks and buy Swanns shares? Alternatively contact the list of wealthy businessmen in Scunthorpe who can afford to cover several hundred thousand pound losses every season.
Always best to be proactive rather than just ask Swann to sell up to the first bidder no matter what their intentions.
October 4, 2021 at 5:28 pm #214775Let’s for the sake of argument there are 2000 of us still turning up UTI 99.
Thats £5,500 each just to buy our ground back and fund the chairman’s 6 years of playing championship manager.
If we could all stretch to £5,501 each that should cover the value of the team and the management.
Who’s up for it?

The Iron trust could maybe put out the feelers with local businessmen/women. I’m sure it’ll be as easy as you guys make out to find a rich buyer.
October 4, 2021 at 5:57 pm #214778Who claps them off? Most will have left before the end, at Carlisle most were apathetic and just walked away. The ground is only worth £5,000,000 so £2500 apiece that’s more than 100% saving MK, though I said in another thread we need a benefactor as well like Bury FC have, it can be done.

Somewhat less likely than Cox sending a team out to play attacking football I guess. Anyway, shares in what, there’s nothing left is there?
We need someone to buy the Club, build a new ground, fund a team to challenge for Championship football and…. oh, hang on a minute, will there be another one about? No, maybe not.October 4, 2021 at 7:44 pm #214793Any protest against the current regime should be done at home, with a sit down protest on the pitch. Get everyone on board, men women and children. Don’t call out the manager or his (our) players, this is all about the oppression of our club by the Swann family.

Swann has been interviewed twice in last 2 days saying he’d happily sell up if someone WITH money actually enquires.
October 4, 2021 at 7:52 pm #214798And then get the club into trouble with the FA, that would go down well
October 4, 2021 at 7:53 pm #214799But he hasn’t officially put the club up for sale and until he does I don’t believe him.

Don’t talk so bloody stupid. All that will result in is giving Swann ammunition to say how bad/unreasonable the fans are.
Also the club will be hit and sanctions and a number of fans will end up being arrested. That won’t be of benefit to anybody.
I say get a large amount of us singing Swann out, make it as loud as possible and as often as possible and make it crystal clear he’s not wanted and just persist with it.
I’d much rather do that than do anything daft.
October 4, 2021 at 8:57 pm #214808Does that mean half on here would have to attend. Or just leave others to sing for them . Or maybe sing at home intune to their radio
October 4, 2021 at 9:19 pm #214809And then get the club into trouble with the FA, that would go down well
Oh no! We might be fined and not be able to spend money on players! Or be docked points and end up bottom of the Football League! That’d be much worse.

He might as well say he’ll jump into the Tardis, go back to 1963 and return with Barrie Thomas.
We know neither will happen.
In the meantime the club from the chairman down to the youth team coaches continue to plod along the same pathway. Having seemingly learnt nothing from previous mistakes.
Something needs to change.

FORGET THIS FUCKING THROWING LARK awaywego, or is that your suggestion soas to take the blame off Swann and put blame onto supporters, no body is going to gain anything by object throwing, or any encroachmentof the playing area.

Lord—-are you suggesting that it is the sole fault of the Swann family??, you must be a bloody clown if you are thinking that the manager and his brainstrust coaching staff of Lilis and Mussa have no part in the demiss of our club, they have been at the helm for the past 60 matches, and teams are selected by them, and defensive rubbish formation set up is also in their hands, they are bloody clueless.
