February 1, 2024 at 5:18 pm #280232The lad was prolific in the U18s.
1st year pro.
Back in the building from a loan spell at Sheffield.
Surely he’s good enough for this level.
Give him a run of games alongside Whitehall.
Or have I missed something and he’s gone elsewhere?February 1, 2024 at 6:41 pm #280233Fastest and fittest player in the team. Did he score many at Sheffield?
February 1, 2024 at 7:36 pm #280234The teams announced at Sheffield I saw had him as sub or not in the squad. Not sure where he is at the moment.
Was always a battler, didn’t shirk a challenge, probably needs a run of games that some seem to get and not deliver and yet doesn’t get a chance. Just like Tom Pugh was before he went on loan. Let’s see what happens to Tom & Dion – both recalled.
February 1, 2024 at 9:04 pm #280235I’ve always found it a bit odd that we tend to churn out good youngsters but never really play them. Would Poulter by way out of this depth at this level ?
One thing about him is that he’s a good finisher. I mean should Poulter not even be on the bench ?
“Give him a run of games alongside Whitehall”
Got no chance with Dean. When was the last time Dean played 2 up top ?.
This is the man who won’t even partner Elliot with Whitehall.

February 1, 2024 at 9:31 pm #280237He won’t fit with JD’s not playing a striker strategy whilst chasing the game

February 2, 2024 at 9:29 am #280252Poulter does like attacking CB’s and defences so that is probably why he is missing.

February 2, 2024 at 1:44 pm #280256Came on in that lincs cup game at home and stuck away a good finish. No matter his limitations he’s proved in the youngsters that he’s always been a finisher.
I find it a bit odd to not even have him on the bench.

February 2, 2024 at 1:49 pm #280258To have a “finisher” and to not even have him on the bench is appalling.
Goal scorers earn you points, win you games and go for big money.
Get him in the team and give him a proper ‘fair crack of the whip’February 2, 2024 at 2:45 pm #280260You only get 5 subs. You need a keeper and at least 1 defender. So who are leaving off the bench out of Whitehall/Elliott, Sembie-Ferris/Beestin, Pugh, Law/Wilson?

EliottFebruary 2, 2024 at 4:47 pm #280274We have a stand in keeper – Andrew Boyce.
Can remember him stepping up when we lost 2 keepers with broken arms. That was when I decided Steve Cotterill was an idiot when he claimed Bristol City deserved the win at GP because they were so much better ! Collisions with Matt Smith ended up with broken limbs but not a reference about that !!
Boycey played his heart out.
February 2, 2024 at 5:21 pm #280277Since when have we had a keeper on the bench.
February 2, 2024 at 5:49 pm #280280You only get 5 subs.
You need a keeper and at least 1 defender.@ AWG… Ferrite wanted a GK on bench.

You don’t need a keeper on the bench with only five subs when you have a decent stand in keeper with Boyce who can fulfill both roles as outfield player and keeper even if he starts. We need five outfield players as subs always IMO with the luxury of Boyce in the squad.

February 10, 2024 at 1:18 pm #280764Good luck kiddo.
Hopefully they’ll put their trust in you and give you the game time you need.
