Happy new year everyone as we break free from the EU Nazi state. The traitorous Boris Johnson may have betrayed the will of the people with his deal, but we have some freedom now!

Here’s a big thank-you to Nigel Farage, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Mark Francois, Andrea Jenkyns, Kate Hoey, Dominic Raab, Michael Gove and all other patriots who campaigned to get us out of tyranny. Most of all, I thank the sexiest MP in parliament, Priti Patel, who continues to stand by the British people as she tries to prevent the country being swarmed by illegal immigrants and hamstrung by do gooder lawyers!

She could use my home office any day of the week!

Well it started off as a football thread

With the latest deal with Turkey, I believe that is now 62 new trade deals already agreed in 2020 – in a fair number of which, a pretty fair dollop would have either required EU blessing, mega adjustments or could not have happened at all.
£668bn trade with EU.
An ordinary deal by Boris, yes, but if you bothered to examine the 12 points of May’s Chequers plan in painful detail, this is hugely superior. Whoever drafted that May deal had made all 12 points look like a positive but 11 were almost totally impossible if you knew EU regs as well as a certain member of my family does.
This version has few serious drawbacks.
Hope that this is now the end for all the bickering. I want a New Year with people all pulling together to make the UK be the best it can be.
In future, I shan’t be making any political points on the football board. (Or any other for that matter.)

Yes open-hearth it was supposed to be 100% a football thread, until we got nine pages full of that “take the knee” stuff, and moderators would not move it to non-football mate, so you can expect any subject if we are to remain to be equal for all subjects!!

That “take the knee” stuff was put into the football thread because players introduced it, not you not me, oh how I wish it was in non football and not there on every match day. If you yourself stopped posting about the knee it might help.

This board used to be a good enjoyable football site . It has now degenerated to a political soap box highjacked by idiots that want to vent there spleen on Brexit .Now a great cure for insomnia
