YOU have brought the club to this shameful level.

Lost more games this season than anyone, even the two relegated clubs.
Lost more home games than I remember since leaving the OSG.
FAR too many games with no shots on target, no effort or enthusiasm from players.
    Laughable management.
    Club and supporters at odds.
Club no longer owns its assets.
Club chairman fallen out with everyone he needed to complete, (or even start), his long promised improvements.

For the sake of the club, the supporters and the local people, go now.
    Just go.

    Buy him out Alcy.

You must have a paltry £11 million squirreled away somewhere.

    Of course.
Us UK pensioners are so well off.
Once Swann finished taking extra off us, there’s loads left….not.

And if I had £11m I’d not put one penny more in that guy’s pocket.

The debts are his. Not the club’s.

Come on Alcy, principles which are so high and firm in the case of SUFC, and so low and limp when it comes to the Tories!

You know very well that lying and ineptitude comes naturally to Johnson and others. Why not call them out on it, especially on pensioner poverty, like you do the club management?

    Of course, Gurny.
Because Liebour did soooo much for us under Blair….oh…. wait…

Why talk about Labour? They aren’t in even power now so it’s a moot point. Plus, you don’t even have to vote for them!

It’s like saying ‘I don’t like Cox, but hey, what about Alan Knill, what did he ever do for us, or Mick Buxton, or Frank Barlow, or Alan Clarke…., or that Lord Quibell’! Completely irrelevant.

I agree with some of your comments about the club Alcy, but you’ve got to be objective and impartial in your criticism of other stuff as well. Failure to be so could lead others – not least club management – to think you’re just a victim of your own prejudices.

    Objective and impartial?
    Like you, you mean?

    I AM objective and impartial.
I loathe all parties and all politicians equally.

When I TRIED to add balance to the decidedly left-biased arguments on this site, the lefties all cried.
    So I gave up🙄🤔🤨😁

Well I’ve never seen you slag off the Tories but you have complained about pensioner poverty, the NHS and disability – so why not chuck some dirt at those in charge of it?

Lefties crying? Those were tears of laughter!

I leave that to those that support the left and hate the right.

If I were to add more anti-tory rhetoric the balance would be even further off.
Something your left wing mates could never grasp.

To simplify: if I’m at a footy match as a neutral, and six people near me shout for team A, do I add balance by shouting for BOTH teams, or for team B?

Not rocket science, yet the other lefties could never understand it.

What if your at a match and someone shouts, ” these pies are tasteless, cold and full of gristle “, do you then reply, ” shut up and be grateful and sing praises to our glorious chairman “? Some people would. 😂😂😂

But why would you NEED to do either?

Most people would keep their gobs shut and watch the game.

Let’s see Alcy, you criticize Swann, not Lord Quibell, because EP is in charge and deserves it, even though others on here and elsewhere are critical too.

But, despite pensioner poverty, lamentable help for the disabled, and delays in treating the sick which you you and your wife have been directly affected by, you can’t criticize the Tories, apparently because others are critical too.

Instead, you allegedly ‘bring balance’ by criticizing a party which hasn’t seen power for 11 years!

That’s daft, isn’t it, old pal, you might as well blame Clement Atlee and Ernest Beverage for building up your expectations in the first place!

I put it to you that, despite the amount of sympathy and understanding which posters on here and the left in general show towards the predicament of people like yourself, your ‘omerta’ is because you are a biased, card-carrying Tory, quite unable to see beyond the blue fog which clouds your vision, objectivity and common sense.

Hence your sitting in silence where the party is concerned!

And that detracts from everything you’ve said about EP, Alcy.

But it’s not unusual – it’s a major problem in Britain today, that some folk are quite lacking in objectivity where politics is concerned, and commit electoral suicide by voting for a party which will cut, privatize or abolish all they need and rely on.

Let’s expand this football analogy based upon your statement that, quote – “I loathe all parties and all politicians equally”.

Would you go to watch a match between two teams you loathed? I doubt it. And if you did would you cheer on either? Very unlikely.

Oh, and btw I’ve STOOD and watched plenty of games as a neutral without shouting my disapproval to either side.

Blyth Spartans v Chester was the last one. When did you last attend a game?

I know things are desperate for the left at the moment but could you leave the politics for the non-football site.

NO Bucks.NI only suggested Alcy buys swanny out then it went on from there, but both Alcy and NI have tried to bring it back to football, you know what’s on this thread so I would suggest you avoid this thread.

    Ah, the strawman argument.
If I criticise Liebour I must be, and I quote,”a biased card carrying Tory”.
    Nope.

Would I go to a match between two teams I loathe?** Unlikely now, as a full time 24/7 carer, but I have done so.

When did I last attend a game?
    Relevance?

** There are few, if any, teams I loathe.
There are those I’d prefer to see lose.

Yet another who cannot understand what balance actually is.

    So in Alcy’s dictionary:

‘Balance’ (noun, verb) = criticizing a party out of power for 11 years.

    And

‘Balance’ (noun, verb) = criticizing EP (in power for 8 years) because nobody else does.

Come on mate, it’s getting dafter with every post!

    Not so.

If you bother to check back, you’ll see I was often, not always, but often, a lone voice against Swann.

So I at least partially balanced out the sycophants…of which there were many.🙂

Regarding Liebour, in, or out of power matters not one jot.
If we can ONLY criticise the party in power, we’ve lost it.

Or maybe that’s why Liebour are in such a mess now?
TELLING us what to believe, what we want, rather than LISTENING and putting in place.

A rather British “disease” which led to many UK suppliers and manufacturers going down the pan.

    Club?
    Yes.

    Country?
They did listen to the majority over Brexit. Labour tried to go against it.
    Look who’s in power.

Some years ago when North Lincs had a labour council, I emailed the then leader telling him he wasn’t listening and was risking defeat. He did not bother to respond.
    Lost the next election.

Because if you haven’t got a spare £11 million Johnson and his mates won’t be listening to you.

Only on this forum does a thread about Swann being a shocking owner somehow morphs into a thread about politics.

That crap should be discussed elsewhere.

    Honestly, it ruins threads.

Brexit and the like should be spouted on non football. This is happening too often on this forum now.

I know the footballing side is uninspiring to say the least but please keep away from the politics crap.

    Correct, these are analogies.

The “club” is doing what politicians do.

Telling us that although things look bad everything will be okay if we continue stick with them.

Anyone with grievances is being petty and unrealistic as the silent majority support what the leadership is doing.

    Whilst all the time……
