    It’s grim here too.
25 degrees at 18:12 don’t make it any better.

‘Concentrate’ appears to be a skill this team don’t have

Rubbish the form since Kidderminster has been very poor, repeat of last two away games, especially in the first half

Well. I trust that some who were getting rather blasé about us being top of the division three weeks ago – even when the cracks were clearly showing – might now be having to rethink.
The team has now gone extremely flat: struggles to pass accurately; has lost a great deal of desire; is failing to create oodles of chances; is missing the chances they do get; is being ‘read’ far too easily by opponents.
This has been hugely obvious for a good five+ weeks now.
I return to my original take on it all.
The Iron need ‘a presence’ in CM. One needs to be found – and very quick!
Furthermore, once your methods of play have been totally sussed by everyone and their cat – it necessitates having different formations to turn to.

Massive 3 weeks coming up for before we play Chester and that’s taking for granted we’ll roll over Oxford city, time for Michelle and co to bring in at least 3 new players in preferably 2 strikers and a winger if the fans can see we’ve now lost the plot surely they can, people will now be looking at a draw at Chester as a good result.
Get them wheels back on the bus Butler, manager of the month for October nothing else will do.
After Oxford it’s ten games in, I said for me I wanted Scunthorpe to be up there and they are ✓ or at least look has though we look like a title winning team but that’s miles off. A Chester loss and for me it’s bye bye Butler.

We need some loan players with something about them, our first reserves are really poor, not even semi-pro quality. Play whatever formation you want but if you cannot pass a ball 10 yards then it’s time to assess your employment options.

No there’s still the fa trophy.
Luckily enough though if we’d been in the National league Michelle would have entered us in the Micky Micky mouse cup, so its not to bad minimum of 4 additional games in that compo.

AWG – why would we need two more strikers? Carlton can be added to our forward line pretty soon.
We have wingers – it would need to be a very special player indeed to be brought in.
I repeat – we need a big CM who doesn’t panic and leads by example.

Two successive 1-0s might suggest scoring is a problem, in fact hitting the target seems to be beyond most of our lot at the moment. Apart from the ‘straight at the keeper’ efforts I don’t think either of the two latest keepers have been tested more than once or twice. Not good enough, maybe time for one less CB and a bit more up top?

I don’t think anyone was getting ‘blase’ Les, tbf. More like ‘don’t panic’. But I would agree, loanees are needed

Read on tuther side players and fans arguing at the end guess they were booed off at half and full time as per norm, if you don’t like it lads do something about it on the pitch, fans paid good money twice in two weeks and you don’t turn up hang your heads in shame.
Couple of the female species didn’t like it and said fans should be encouraging the tea and said there not true fans lol.
Wouldn’t it be nice to see a flare again (no bloody chance the way we’re playing at the moment)

Unless we plummet to the depths of the table then I can see him here until the end of the season.

Yes. When you’re top of the league and unbeaten there shouldn’t be mad panic. It may have been a blip which could have been worked through, and some on here were already on the wagon of doom and gloom before a ball was kicked this season. However, when the worrying signs continue for too long a period, and it has now, there can be serious concerns raised. The midfield looks to be easily dominated, the passing is atrocious and there is no outlet. I am less and less convinced by Beestin the centre forward after each game and Nicholson has deteriorated massively.

Disappointing to say the least and embarrassing at most. This is a concerning trend which has been festering for some games.Do we get the ‘same old same old’ – Lessons will be learned – put it right next game. We have the same players that were mauling opponents weeks ago, so what’s gone wrong? Something has and the same fronting up from the manager with the usual spiel won’t cut it. What’s gone wrong?

Were we really mauling teams… I think we were playing much the same way we just created and took more chances and somehow kept a couple of clean sheets.
The team is similar to last season minus a couple of the better players and the ones added are a downgrade.
New manager who was a part of the failed management team from last year.
A different way of playing, 5-3-2 but still one dimensional and predictable.
No width – only a couple of wingers left in the squad who are being put into a 10 or false 9 or make shift striker.
One right back, love the fact he’s one of our own but I don’t think he’s good enough and he’s got zero competition.
Midfield is weak and needs a Ball winner who breaks up play, stops the opposition but then gets us forwards.
We are still winning plenty of corners but they feel pointless… do we work on them?
    Add in the long throws!
We are supposed to be fitter… not seeing it!
We are set up to build from a clean sheet and I understand the philosophy of that but it’s removed our attacking intent.
We still create chances, we always will because we’ve still got good players for the level who are training full time and playing mostly part time semi pro players!
I too want to see wingers and strikers, Carlton scored tons from the wing last year so get him on the wing when he’s fit enough.
Danny needs help up front, he’s working harder than ever but he’s not in the area where he’s at his best enough, his hold up play is great but that takes him away from his fox in the box position too often.
    I could go on.
Yes we are top but we’ve looked unconvincing mostly this season.
Hope we get it figured out and the football is (A) Enjoyable and (B) Delivering the points needed to get us back into the league above and beyond.
    Rant over.

not good scenes at the final whistle .. but to be expected after such a poor performance against a team in a lower league and with 10 men for a quarter of the game… could well effect attendances both home and traveling fans time will tell.

Another un convincing display v Oxford on Saturday and bad vibes will spread … im sure Roberts may well be on his toes EovC if things go pear shaped.

Real shame 748 away fans in a crowd of circa 1300 going home well n truly let down and pissed off.
