March 4, 2023 at 9:32 am #256552Well I did say they were cods Deerey inbreeding and all that.
March 4, 2023 at 9:33 am #256553We have been down this ” it were like taking bread to the top of the world ” vibe a few times now, always worth a chuckle. I always remember when we ran out of coal for the fire, Dad would suck a peppermint and we would hold out our hands in turn while he breathed on em to keep em warm. Central heating!!!! Pah, bunch of wimps these days.

March 17, 2023 at 1:17 pm #257518Chris Sutton has been doing his usual predictions for the cup this weekend and he’s got Brighton down for a 5-0 win, that does seem more realistic TBF.
March 17, 2023 at 1:34 pm #257519I do hope so.

March 17, 2023 at 3:53 pm #257529I do hope so.
I agree, they have taken the piss long enough, time for them to get battered which TBF is the role they were born to play. 🐟🍟
March 17, 2023 at 4:03 pm #257532Who in there right mind wants to see them get to Wembley?.
March 17, 2023 at 4:06 pm #257534I’d imagine Brighton will play with a pretty much full strength 11 with a semi on the horizon. Gulls 4-0 Cods

I would imagine that a lot of neutrals would like to see them victorious?
Everyone loves an underdog.

March 17, 2023 at 6:55 pm #257548I was talking scunny fans Rene as you well know. My ideal scenario would be for Grimsby to be winning 3-0 Jack Hinchcliffe to have an heart attack after all he his in his 100th year and 3-0 should get his ticket beating rather fast, the game gets abandoned as precedent demands and then go onto lose the rearranged game.

Yes dont know what i was thinking .. too many amber beverages clouded my judgement and memory, in the cold light of the morning after a black coffee i retract my earlier good luck to the Cods twas a mistake post and hope they get battered.

March 18, 2023 at 7:22 pm #257617Good luck to the Haddocks.
Prefer haddocks to cods, and now they’ve covered both bases. Boo!!!
March 19, 2023 at 4:02 pm #257650Battered cod?
March 19, 2023 at 4:09 pm #257651Watched the first half, boring, Grimsby five across the back, no attempt to compete.
March 19, 2023 at 4:10 pm #257652😂😂😂😂 come on now who’s not laughing if your a Scunny fan, come on be honest.

March 19, 2023 at 4:43 pm #257656I’m sure its raised a giggle among certain sections of Iron fans but losing heavily at the end of a history-making cup run that brought in close to 1 and half million pounds won’t be as funny come the close season when they spend that money on new players as Scunny look on from the NL/NNL(?) as I think that cup money has been sidelined for the transfer kitty.
Enjoy it but he who laughs last and all that…3 users thanked author for this post.

Enjoy it but he who laughs last and all that…Actually it’s no different to the Cods not wanting us to go bust but still wanting us to get relegated again this season, I can handle that it’s just fan banter and rivalry between local rivals. Most Iron fans said the Cods had done well to reach the quarter finals and applauded their efforts but similar the majority of Scunny fans wanted to see them get thumped today because of that local rivalry, I’m sure even a misery arse like you can appreciate that Vanadrama.
