Who played at Dorchester?
it was when they redeveloped the ground they played there, they turned the ground like east to west to north to south with four new stands, I only went once but before it was altered, it’s in a big park so easy to do.

March 22, 2022 at 8:11 pm #234090I will take a wild guess Bobby, Maidstone United, when they got promoted to the Football League didn’t they ground share with Dartford so never played any of their games at their ground in Maidstone and when they dissolved the ground was sold for development, since they reformed they now have a new stadium.
March 22, 2022 at 8:55 pm #234091I remember us losing 6-4 at Southampton. UTWI

Maidstone played all their league games at Watling Street, Dartford mick. We played there 3 times including an ignominious 6-1 defeat!
March 23, 2022 at 4:57 pm #234122The Old Recreation Ground, Port Vale
Good guess ironic, Port Vale played their last game there in the 1949-50 season! Supplementary trivia, Port Vale have spent the most seasons in the league (110) and the most seasons in the second tier (41) without reaching the first tier.

Were Morecambe still there when they came into the League? I can’t remember.
March 24, 2022 at 9:17 am #234147They were Ferrite, but we didn’t play them until after they moved to the Globe Arena.
Seem to remember us being in L1 and the Championship then. Or did I dream it?

March 24, 2022 at 8:05 pm #234161One to go and it’s probably the most obscure…
March 29, 2022 at 2:35 pm #234557The ground in question staged League football from 1933 to 1955 but it’s primary use was as a greyhound stadium. Little does she know…
March 29, 2022 at 5:02 pm #234576That’ll be Southend then. Southend, Luton, and Grimsby between them probably hold the time record for having plans for a new stadium!
March 29, 2022 at 5:50 pm #234579Two Wright’s has got the right team, Southend played at Chelmsford City’s old ground for a while whilst the Roots Hall ground was being built.
March 31, 2022 at 3:22 pm #234718The correct answer is the Southend Stadium. Southend only played at New Writtle Street Stadium (Chelmsford) during the war mick.

Oh heck, so he did. My sincerest apologies ironfan, good job you’re on the ball N.I. Time to hang my trivia boots up for a while (in reality I’ve run out of questions).
