Even though he gets some I would tend to believe whatever SST says to be true (always factual and concise with info & the podcast). Hopefully if it’s the case that you are sharing a ground , eventually a new permanent home can be estsblished .

What happens with all the current ST/membership holders ?
    Surely a refund?

Surely now as well Mr David has to clarify the way forward – saying ‘we will always play at Glanford Park ‘ and ‘we are moving training to Ilkeston & closing the academy ‘ or Max Bell talking nonsense does not cut it .

Either he goes on the ‘non compliant’ podcast ,or goes on Humberside with Ollie and answers some challenging questions.

    You need answers

With the national league AGM fast approaching, we will get an answer for the clubs immediate future at least.

I don’t think you can overstate how disastrous it will be for the club to leave Scunthorpe.

Where’s the Iron Trust in all of this?

Good points Cliff. Perhaps the Trust will release a statement once there’s clarity on plan A or B?

Why does it take SST to find out what’s actually going on? He could have told Barra about Gainsborough and it needing to be ratified with the NLN this weekend.

Should we chip in a bit more player sponsorship to include petrol money?

Can’t believe people are so laid back about it, the financial implications will be crippling.

Is Hilton going to backfill the lost revenue? If so great but if not that’s going to affect all areas of the club including the playing budget.

How long can we survive away from Scunthorpe?

So are we all happy about our club being moved to another town?

So are we all happy about our club being moved to another town?

No Ferrite, I would think thaT 99.9% of Scunny fans are feeling very sick over what goes on with their club, all this is down to two people. It was annouced many months ago that Hilton had bough tthe club and all its assets, he then presented supporters to buy into a new share system at £1,899 per share, then brought the earlybird seasons ticket deadline forward to before the end of this disasterous season, it then came to light that he did not even own the stadium and land, even though he had starteds selling the shares.
I hate Swann for what he has done to our club, but there is a lot of blame also to be directed at Hilton, it is so easy to tell the truth on happenings, but this has not been the case at Scunny for years.

The supporters of SUFC do not deserve to be treated this way, whilst these two play their little games, why don’t they grow up and sort the bloody problem out. I doubt if more than 600 will travel to Gainsbro’ after the first couple of matches, the whole situation stinks.

Had a season ticket at Gainsborough Trinity in the early seventies, when they had a great team ,Monty Brown etc. Not a bad little trip on a Saturday afternoon,it could be worse.

Cant disagree with any of that .. as pointed out financially playing in another town is a disaster and i cant see more than 1000 “home” fans making the trip regularly even if the team are at the top end of the table.
The club , individuals certainly lacking any updates clarifying anything thus leaving fans in limbo and out of pocket re season tickets and those who rolled the 1899 dice.

Where would you suggest the team plays while a new stadium is being sorted out?

Where would you suggest the team plays while a new stadium is being sorted out?

The one in which we have played since 1988? The one where an apparent 1,000+ supporters have purchased season tickets to watch the Iron next season?

I’m not saying all this is on Hilton, however the plan to take a club which has been struggling for years and move it to a town 20 miles away, at a time when we’re at our lowest ebb in our history, and play at a ground which will be a big culture shock for a lot of our supporters, does not seem like a great one.

Also, do you really think a new stadium in 2 years is probable?

It takes two to tango, two to come to a sensible agreement, fans are just stuck waiting asking questions. What ya gonna do ?

Agreed ask questions but we ask the same ones and are still left waiting from either party for an answer. Things will only change when they come to an agreement either way, fans are where they usually are, in limbo and it’s a position that lots of fans at lots of clubs over many situations have been in for a long time, not all in our position I agree but it’s a waiting game no matter what we ask on here. Only official releases from the club be it on the website or fans forum is our only hope of a definite answer, why the online chat was released the other week is a strange one because it’s not really official unless all fans are being addressed in the more usual ways, not all fans are online and not all do twitter so,……wait.

I’m a little out of the loop here. So forgive me if I’m asking questions that have been answered already.

But I have been looking on the ows and cannot find any mention of playing anywhere other than Glanford Park.

So please indulge me here. Where is the announcement, and are we certain that it is official?

There was a picture of Whitehall with his family on Twitter a few days ago at Glanford Park but a lot of it is people putting 2 and 2 together and making 5, Hilton said there was a plan B, but it is a matter of waiting and seeing what happens instead of everyone jumping to conclusions

Unfortunately just don’t try to look at the twitter account that “reached out” to Hilton for the latest update….

By coincidence Hilton has posted on the Scunthorpe United Fans Group page this afternoon with his usual spiel.
