January 22, 2021 at 10:30 pm #201535A bit of intent and desire will do me.
January 22, 2021 at 11:50 pm #201541I would think that it will be the same old, same old tale, watching defensive rubbish, with our team set up with one up front, possibly Turan ha ha! and probably two shots on target, why should supporters think any other way.
I forcast a 0-0 draw, but after saying that, with our keeper, we do not useually do zero’s, another loss will certainly point to our relegation from the football league, that being my worst nightmare, but after following our team since day one (70 years ago), it will be a very sad end. Even with Mr Swanns again turning away from what we are all seeing, week afyer week, we are a very poor team in a very poor league, but with us not able to beat any of the lowwr teams, why should we not be thinking of relegation. We have a terrible squad of players, our injuries are always long term events, our manager has no clue how to change things, and the two clowns standing with him on the touch line make up his brilliant management team, our summer signings are a joke, and we have a 23 year old boy in charge of transfers, yes another part of the joke. The Chairmanm blames Covid-19 for the clubs present situation, so no other districts in the UK have an signs of Covid, so how can we believe when the press are telling us that our area is in the top five for being lowest in the country, ho by the way, Swanns other excuse for our inept pathetic on field performances is that clubs in this league produce poor pitches, does he need reminding that we do not do so bad when away on these poor playing surfaces, but are worse than pathetic on our own pitch, and our home record is beyond being pathetic with TWO WINS IN FIFTEEN MATCHES.
The club is in need of a very big clearout of all the dead wood, which would hardly leave anyone remaining, us supporters have not deserved this after so many years, but the sad thing is that those in so called charge think there are no problems, do they need reminding that we are sitting in the bottom three in league two, and have a terrible aquad of players and management, and the clubs debt is possibly over £12 million pounds, and assets are now owned by the loans from the Chairmans company.
January 23, 2021 at 7:54 am #201544Howard
Clarke onarisie Taft o malley
Gillead Karacan beestin hippoylte
Eisa Green
January 23, 2021 at 8:15 am #201545Yeah. Right players but I’d swap Hippo and Eisa. Nothing to stop the two switching throughout the game – provided that we can inject a little bit of imaginative thinking, of course.
January 23, 2021 at 8:48 am #201547Only 68 years for me, but I concur with you. Times are bad, indeed. I wonder how the Chairman knows that we’re not going to be relegated.
January 23, 2021 at 9:09 am #201548Loft trained yesterday and is fine
January 23, 2021 at 9:47 am #2015492 nil defeat, another inept performance.cant see anything else our squad, management team and chairman have lost the plot.

January 23, 2021 at 10:04 am #201553It’s a tactical ploy telling the cods our only forward is injured, then he’ll rock up on the day and play, with KVV on the bench.
We will probably be saved any embarresment by this mornings heavy frost earning us a P.
January 23, 2021 at 10:08 am #201555Bad news about Loft being fit! Cox needs to change it and go with CBRP’s team with McAtee in place of Hippo and Eisa on the wing.

GreenLet’s hope Loft and Green work closely.
January 23, 2021 at 12:31 pm #201566Or 4-5-1 again with Green wide right and Gilliead inside?
At least Kev isn’t being risked.
January 23, 2021 at 12:38 pm #201567Hope am wrong but Grimsby’s starting line up looks better than ours. One thing i have noticed is both teams this time round seem to be setup to play more of a passing game and if that doesnt work they can both lump it up to Loft or Hanson. I thoroughly expect after 20 mins it will be all about the lumping though.
January 23, 2021 at 12:38 pm #201568Wasn’t impressed with Cox’s interview on BBC yesterday, telling all and sundry that he is under immense pressure(though I’m sure he is) negativity breeds negativity, I want positivity from his mouth to the players, and a positive team selection and set up and just give it a go.
January 23, 2021 at 12:50 pm #201570Think NI is right, looks like 4-1-4-1. Hope we’re both wrong. UTI.
January 23, 2021 at 12:52 pm #201571Or 4-5-1 again with Green wide right and Gilliead inside?
At least Kev isn’t being risked.
I’m trying to be positive 😂
January 23, 2021 at 1:53 pm #201574Wasn’t expecting anything pretty but we’ll take that all day long.
Going to get more chances 2nd half and need to be clinical
January 23, 2021 at 1:58 pm #201575Loft isn’t the only player in the opposition half and we score goals? Funny how that works.
January 23, 2021 at 2:42 pm #201576See Coxy get back to an attacking formation/intent that we’ve been asking a hey Presto.

January 23, 2021 at 3:05 pm #201578No reason why Eisa shouldn’t be starting up front now until KVV is back. Look so much more balanced with 2 up front and gives Loft much needed support.
Well done Cox
Well done the players.
They wanted that today. On a side note: what a job Hurst has got on his hands, they somehow look worse than us and didn’t seem bothered today
January 23, 2021 at 3:11 pm #201579Loft the best player on the pitch according to Gary Croft the Codhead, said his approach and graft all game was an example to every other player on the pitch. Shows that some ex pro’s think he has a future in the game even if some fans dont. All about opinions of course.

January 23, 2021 at 3:14 pm #201580Don’t think we need to praise Cox yet, the way he as set the team up of late, but certainly well done to the players showing us what can be achieved when allowed to.
January 23, 2021 at 3:15 pm #201581Yeah. Tom Newey gave MOTM to Loft.
I am happy enough with that but surely Lofty must start heading really good crosses below the level of the crossbar.
With support – he looks a totally different player.Glad if anyone can work out what the formation turned out to be … but, it was forward-minded and that meant that I was happy.
Stuffed cod all round if you are feeling peckish.
January 23, 2021 at 3:21 pm #201585Great to be proved wrong. Amazing what happens when you attack teams and play to our strengths for a change.
January 23, 2021 at 3:30 pm #201588Loft out-Hansoned, Hanson today. To be fair that’s not difficult, any lamppost could do it, but what a difference having someone around him.
Let’s hope this isn’t a one off like the Harrogate result, though I’d expect Port Vale & Colchester to be sterner tests than the crap on show today.
January 23, 2021 at 3:39 pm #201592Some good performances today which makes a change for a local derby.
Loft, Eisa and Gillihead outstanding, Karacan, Beestin and Orinaise not far behind and the rest played well also, this makes a change and I hope we don’t let it go to waste on Tuesday, so go and enjoy yourselves for our first Saturday win for 7 weeks.January 23, 2021 at 3:40 pm #201593Very happy that Loft proved me wrong today, but agree with Les about the headers he missed. Rest of the team did well and we have made good January signings in Taft and Karacan. Did BS see Howard catch the ball 4 times in one match?
January 23, 2021 at 4:06 pm #201596Aye, heading practice Monday! Didn’t Manny put one over when he should have scored?
January 23, 2021 at 4:13 pm #201597Practice definitely needed, quality crosses from Gillead and O’Malley today.
