Just read that following the club’s exit from Europa Conference League qualifiers that both he and Chris Lucketti have left the club.
“Despite finishing fifth in the Scottish Premiership last term, the Fir Park side have won just five games in 2022”
“However, troubling form and performances blighted the second half of their campaign, recording just three league victories on the way to finishing fifth”
Sounds familiar!
This happened before for him at Fleetwood and obviously here. Alexander appears to do really well but then seemingly when he reaches a certain level with whatever team he’s managing he ends up regressing.
Odd one because on the face of it he’s a good enough manager but when he does well he never kicks on and there seems to be a cut off point with him.
I still think if we went for it in the play offs at home we would have completely outplayed them. I remember when the game was coming to an end he went more positive and for the last 15-20 minutes we absolutely battered them and you could see we were the better team.
Alexander just lacked belief.
Always been convinced Alexander lost us that play off against Millwall in the first leg.
He set us up for a 0-0 but Millwall came out obviously nervous and couldn’t put 2 passes together. After 30 minutes they were so bad the crowd were on their backs and they were there for the taking.
We kept 10 men behind the ball and saw the game out without even trying to lay a glove on them. I remember saying to my oldest son who was with me that we would regret our tactics in the second leg because no way Millwall would be that bad again.
Cannot understand Alexander. Starts off Jurgen Kiopp and then morphs into Gareth Southgate.

Agree with that, if I were a CEO I would employ him with a contract that said at Christmas take a break – go off for 5 weeks, do some scouting and come back refreshed and steamroller us to the top of the league by the end of the season.
No football manager would ever agree to that kind of deal but if you have any other business and have a manager who you know is essentially good at his job but has just lost his way you would give him a break.
Apart from the lack of money that’s probably why I’m never going to be the CEO of a football club!!
I’ll bet Josh Morris is p***** o**!
