Mr Hill survives because he fits the plan drawn up by Mr Swann.

August 30, 2022 at 9:37 am #244006Exactly the plan is going accordingly.
August 30, 2022 at 9:49 am #244007Mr Hill survives because he fits the plan drawn up by Mr Swann.
Or it could just be complete mismanagement and incompetency like the last 7 years? Has anyone else seen this supposed plan? It must exist because more and more people are referring to it. I’m not saying there isn’t one, just wondered where we can view it?
August 30, 2022 at 1:50 pm #244038I wonder, based on Hill’s comments in the interview post match whether there is something amiss of a personal nature with him.
I can’t remember the exact words but he talked of things ‘off field’ but when pressed for what he meant he said that he was a private person and did not want to say anything else.
Maybe Swann is aware of any issue and will not fire him at this time.
If that is the case surely for Hill’s mental state he should be given some time off to put things right.
I would prefer him to have 2 months leave and put Daws in charge on a temporary basis until the new owners (if there are any) are in place who will then choose their own manager. Hill obviously is not going to walk away so just relieve him of the stress of managing the team on a day to day basis as the role is too much for him at this moment in time.1 user thanked author for this post.
August 30, 2022 at 4:03 pm #244059I am baffled by Hill’s plan(s). Last season he decided that Foster, Lewis, Young, Shrimpton, Gallimore, Wilson, Moore-Billam and Cribb had enough ability to keep us in the EFL. This season, with a few exceptions, they are not considered good enough to play in the NL.
He got off lightly (IMO) last season as he inherited a poor squad, however 8 of Saturdays starting 11 were his signings and the performance was as bad as ever. How long can this go on?August 30, 2022 at 4:05 pm #244060Keith Hill and Tony McMahon both now gone!
August 30, 2022 at 9:47 pm #244149Good riddance to Hill and McMahon, the latter blamed the players after the Bromley game and it suddenly dawned that he was the coach under Cox so he had to go too.
Hill on Bumbleside yesterday was a total arrogant git, the worst manager we have ever had.
August 30, 2022 at 9:59 pm #244151Looking for bites or are you really as stupid as you appear from your post?
Now who is the stupid one?
August 31, 2022 at 6:19 am #244167August 31, 2022 at 7:23 am #244168It was obvious last season he was not up to the job and got away with it as we are in such turmoil not going to miss him, Swann now needs to tell us what is actually happening within the club regarding the take over, lee’s true role within the club and if he really is serious about selling the club.
Unfortunately I’am beginning to believe there is no potential buyer and Swann is just playing the situation, it’s just lurched backwards once again and just when you think we can’t get any lower we do and the supporters deserve more and better treatment.

August 31, 2022 at 8:27 am #244176When there is a choice between incompetence and sinister motives – more times than not – incompetence is the correct guess.
There is adequate evidence for incompetence but the jury is out on anything else.2 users thanked author for this post.
August 31, 2022 at 9:13 am #244181Lets not forget whoever comes in as manager or whoever is put in temporary charge, we are still short of experienced heads in vital positions. The squad is not big enough or experienced enough and that will be the main priority ASAP.

August 31, 2022 at 9:20 am #244184Left sided centre back the top priority and a forward with real pace. An interim manager coach with a positive attitude and a couple of brain cells and we can dream of lower mid table obscurity.

August 31, 2022 at 9:21 am #244187Hopefully Lee is brushing up his recruitment skills.
August 31, 2022 at 3:52 pm #244225It might be back to Will.

Nooooooooo!!!!!!!
August 31, 2022 at 4:03 pm #244232Daws, with a former Iron defender as assistant.
August 31, 2022 at 5:15 pm #244238Not Russ again.
August 31, 2022 at 5:44 pm #244241Daws, with a former Iron defender as assistant.
Nathan Stanton promoted from kit-man?
August 31, 2022 at 5:47 pm #244242Saw him a few weeks back. Was more inclined to ask if he would consider playing again.

you are rarely wrong Matt, but if you are right he knows some of our players.
August 31, 2022 at 5:56 pm #244244So it’s Daws with Crozzer until Nige arrives.
August 31, 2022 at 5:59 pm #244245Crozzer? Why would a current League 1 assistant manager come to a sinking ship in the National League?

Worked with the physio.
August 31, 2022 at 6:11 pm #244249Nathan would probably have to leave the dug out after seventy minutes with a sore throat or a dislocated shoulder from too much arm waving. Good player but very injury prone. 😂
August 31, 2022 at 6:19 pm #244250Only wishful thinking BLT I don’t really think it will happen.

August 31, 2022 at 7:38 pm #244253If SST’s post is true I can see it being Daws with Cox back in as assistant.
August 31, 2022 at 7:54 pm #244254If Matt is right it isn’t Cox
August 31, 2022 at 8:48 pm #244255Well, Farsley are struggling so I’m betting on Russ.
