One we “gave away”.
12 goals from 23 appearances for Coventry this season – in the Championship.
If only…
There are too many fans who belittle young forwards as they are learning their trade.
(Too many past managers who have played forwards wide and out of position.?
Good luck to the lad, but never showed anything while he was with us,there would have been uproar if we kept him on.
Joined National (Conference South) League South Ebbsfleet in 2014 age nearly (July 29th birthday – wiki) 23 years old.
He netted 35 goals in 70 games for Ebbsfleet. 2014-16.
Stevenage 30 goals – 76 games – League 2
Peterborough 14 goals – 38 games League 1
Coventry 32 goals – 72 games L1 (2019-20) / Championship (2020-22)
He joined Coventry for a fee of £750,000 and was top goal scorer in their L1 Champions season.
35 – 70
30 – 76
14 – 38
32 – 72
111 goals – 256 games
A goal every 2.3 games.
Would have being worth his weight in gold for us this season.
9 goals in 20 games on loan at Brigg!
But at the time we had better strikers in the building, like Bobby Grant and Chris Dagnall! 😂
Lyle Taylor was another we let go too soon. Hindsight is a wonderful thing of course.

Lessons to be learned?
Sharp & Hooper?
They would never have played for us if every team waited for ever……
If you were to list the strikers that we released that were never heard of again, the list would be far longer.
‘9 goals in 20 games on loan at Brigg!’
No disrespect to Counties footy NI, but having watched a fair bit recently, there’s a gulf of difference between levels 3/4 and 9/10. Point taken about Grant and Dagnall though 🤣
I was having a laugh Deerey, as you know.
Knew you were joking when you bigged up that tosser Grant.
