As much as I have no time for him I find how The Roberts Sharp influence at GP goes about it’s business as massively alarming. Its the Towns club not their wet dream to do with as they please.
The Weekender crew might be their mates now but I hope they fall flat on their faces .

Don’t crap on your own doorstepThey’re obviously trying every new idea they can to get money in, and to generate some wider interest and involvement. Admirable energy, but it could bite them in the arse at some point.
March 22, 2025 at 12:14 pm #300143I don’t get why they couldn’t have had The Smoking Goat as the outdoor burger outlet among the pizza, Greek food and churros. That way it would be promoting them and bringing in something extra for the day.
March 22, 2025 at 12:19 pm #300146Personally I’m glad there’s all this extra stuff on offer today, but it does seem a bit odd that (if Goat is telling the truth) they didn’t ask him. All that outside catering will surely impact his potential to rake in dollar.
March 22, 2025 at 12:24 pm #300147‘If’ ffs
The club have shafted him, nowt new there then.

They haven’t gone out of their way to shaft him, I’d say. They’re simply exercising their right to ‘extend the offer’ to supporters on a big matchday. But – a big but – he should have been the first to be asked if he wanted to do something outside too.

So should Henry’s Bar, to be honest – although not food as they are simply crap at it.
March 22, 2025 at 1:12 pm #300154I get the impression that some (e.g. CEO) doesn’t seem to prioritise maintaining strong relations with others when making his decisions.
March 22, 2025 at 1:17 pm #300155My point is one of professional courtesy. If you’re in a business relationship with somebody and want to bring in something that will clearly. irk your partner, you let them know 1st

March 22, 2025 at 1:44 pm #300158Lots of small businesses have helped the club out in many ways often being talked into work for free or cost, just not a good luck, once bitten twice shy.

Perhaps, when the Club was visibly on its arse, they wanted to do something to help and to show support.

March 23, 2025 at 11:10 am #300253And no more than Danny. Apollo.
Your wrong they well and truly shafted him yesterday.
Seeing his updated post from yesterday catered for for all the away fans only to find out that they’d put a burger van outside the away end which he obviously didn’t even see coming, then to make matters worse they opened the doors at half time for the away fans to use said burger van.
By helping the club and showing support when on its arse should work both ways but unfortunately it doesn’t as seen yesterday and probably never will.

There was a crowd there over twice the usual size. It strikes me yesterday was partly a matter of logistics. Does Goat really have the capacity and experience to cope, and adequately service that number? I’d wager not. However, the apparent way he was treated doesn’t seem courteous.

He himself has admitted in a thread on Facebook that the ground doesn’t have the catering point facilities to cope with that number of supporters.

Yes but he could have put his vans there

Of course, yes.
But would he have stumped up the additional catering pitch rental revenue that yesterday generated? Also, was yesterday’s circus part of the Zanetti deal and therefore down to him?
Whichever way, lack of professional courtesy shown to the Goat. However, rumours have long circulated about his own lack of professional conduct – though they refer to things during the Hilton era, when anything was on the table. Or chopped out in lines on the table.
March 23, 2025 at 2:30 pm #300273The goat is no more at SUFC. Nice to see someone who has morals.
Shame on you Sufc, never forget those who helped you when you were down.

March 24, 2025 at 8:06 am #300348He may well be justified in feeling snubbed / professionally overlooked, but he’s not doing himself too many PR favours with profane outbursts directly at Director Sharp and CEO Roberts on X (Twitter) – in my opinion.
Regardless, it leaves the Club in a panic situation for this coming Saturday’s catering points. Maybe the vans and stalls again?

Lines of dominoes or coke?

That’s right, yes. A few different Tweets (Xs ?) telling Sharp and Roberts to get the fuck out of the club, and that they’ve fucked plenty of people over behind the scenes but he’s surprised they’d do it to the fans. Putting vomit emojis next to Sharp’s name, etc etc.
March 24, 2025 at 8:46 am #300359Is it time for Kenny (Roberts) to get on his (motor) bike?
March 24, 2025 at 10:27 am #300386Probably the best PR he could have done, standing up on the side of good versus evil which is being perceived at the moment when it comes to Sharp and Roberts against Michelle, Roj and the club.

Nobody mentions Achinghead these days during these conversations. Perhaps he deserves some of the love?
March 24, 2025 at 10:43 am #300390Twas only Michelle and Roj who came in the DRE on Saturday guess he’s picked his side.

I don’t disagree. I’m saying people only usually mention Sharp (and CEO Roberts) when they talk about ‘that side’ of the divide.
